[Bug 1183508] [NEW] A command to scale-down a service safely.
Public bug reported: My question is the following (maybe a feature request, I do no how to create one) : Imagine a service like GlusterFS requiring to migrate data from removed bricks before shuting-down the node(s) that will be removed from the cluster. gluster/0 with volume1 gluster/1 with volume2 (replica=2) gluster/2 with volume2 (replica=2) How exactly juju triggers the hooks of the units of that service ? I imagine that all units are aware of the departure of gluster/2 if we remove gluster/2. A good feature will be to have, as user, a way to express our desire to scale-down the service without specifying one particular unit, unlike juju remove-unit. Another will be, as unit of the service, a way to "decide" to cancel or warn the user helped by juju. For example, if the user uses juju remove- unit gluster/0 it will loose all data of volume1 ! [Bug 1183338] Re: Crypt Blowfish only returns salt
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have reproduced the behaviour you describe on 5.4.9-4ubuntu2. According to the documentation, the salt provided for Blowfish must be: 22 characters from the alphabet "./0-9A-Za-z" See: http://php.net/manual/en/function.crypt.php Changing your test case to: echo crypt('1369300336testtest','$2a$07$1234567890123456789012$'); generates the output: 1$2a$07$123456789012345678901uZYllnydIbsLxOEuXdlYwl811OX1hihq Thus I believe that PHP is working as specified, so this bug is Invalid. You need to specify a valid salt. [Bug 930962] Re: dhcp3-server reports many bad udp checksums to syslog using virtio NIC
Recent kernel changes are now causing this issue to appear in LXC containers too where the libvirt mangle rule doesn't help at all. [Bug 1183300] Re: [needs-packaging] keepalived
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. keepalived is already packaged, but I can see that upstream version 1.2.7 is available. Ubuntu and Debian have 1.2.2; 1.2.6 is available in experimental. Please specify which upstream release you are requesting, and consider filing a bug with Debian to have Debian update to the latest upstream version. ** Tags removed: needs-packaging ** Tags added: upgrade-software-version ** Summary changed: - [needs-packaging] keepalived + Please upgrade keepalived to the latest upstream version ** Changed in: keepalived (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to keepalived in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1183300 Title: Please upgrade keepalived to the latest upstream version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keepalived/+bug/1183300/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1067779] Re: missing pam_loginuid.so breaks getlogin()
This bug was fixed in the package openssh - 1:6.2p2-3 --- openssh (1:6.2p2-3) unstable; urgency=low * If the running init daemon is Upstart, then, on the first upgrade to this version, check whether sysvinit is still managing sshd; if so, manually stop it so that it can be restarted under upstart. We do this near the end of the postinst, so it shouldn't result in any appreciable extra window where sshd is not running during upgrade. -- Colin Watson Wed, 22 May 2013 17:42:10 +0100 ** Changed in: openssh (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1067779 Title: missing pam_loginuid.so breaks getlogin() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/at/+bug/1067779/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
