[Bug 1250003] bug 1250003: Failure to install Post fix
Very many thanks for reply. Herewith screenshot of the result. Your remedy was successful. And I learned a command that may well be of great value in future Please note that when I successfully reconfigured Postfix, I had little idea of what information to supply to answer the questions but I will study the manuals etc. in my own time and edit as appropriate. For info, currently I read and write emails from the website/Firefox so there is no panic. As regards what happened previously, I got the first screen but there was no way to make a selection or to press OK. [Bug 1250922] Re: dhclient: No DHCPOFFERS received
Thank you for taking the time to file this report and helping to make Ubuntu better. I appreciate the problem you're facing, but it isn't clear to me that this is a bug, and you haven't provided enough information to pin anything down. At the moment it seems that you're still investigating, and I don't think you're likely to get much assistance with this on this bug tracker. https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/isc-dhcp will show you recent updates to the DHCP client. You may also want to consider any kernel updates you recently applied, in case there has been a regression in your NIC driver. If you think there has been a regression in an update, then you should pin down the version that caused the regression by examining your update logs and trying downgrades appropriately. You can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community. This should help get your questions about debugging your problem to a wider audience. Marking this bug as Incomplete, to reflect that this bug cannot make progress without further information. ** Package changed: dhcp3 (Ubuntu) = isc-dhcp (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: isc-dhcp (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to dhcp3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1250922 Title: dhclient: No DHCPOFFERS received To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/isc-dhcp/+bug/1250922/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1250398] Re: Cloudstack userdata not working with 0.7.3-0ubuntu2
Hi, The culprit is the upgrade of boto from 2.3.0 in 13.04 to 2.9.6 in 13.10. To fetch userdata, cloud-init relies on a utility function from boto.utils, the URL building method has changed in boto and now includes a trailing slash. I've reported the bug upstream, but manually constructing the cloudstack user-data URL in DataSourceCloudStack in cloud-init would also be worthwhile, since changes in the way EC2 behaves would not impact cloudstack deployments. The upstream issue in boto is registered at: https://github.com/boto/boto/pull/1856 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to cloud-init in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1250398 Title: Cloudstack userdata not working with 0.7.3-0ubuntu2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/1250398/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Re: [Bug 1251352] [NEW] lxc fails to start on boot but succeeds with a manual boot
Indeed if you remove the lxc.name option, the container starts but with two network interfaces.
