[Bug 1285101] [NEW] directory directive for /var/www should be in 000-default.conf
Public bug reported: After installing apache, the default site configuration file is /etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf. The site defined therein serves files from /var/www, qua the DocumentRoot /var/www The directive for that directory (the Directory /var/www block) is in a different config file (apache2.conf). In order to serve from another directory (e.g. /home/me/public_html), I'd have to change /var/www to the new path in both locations. I suggest moving the Directory /var/www block to /etc/apache2/sites- available/000-default.conf because 1. it makes more sense to collect the /var/www stuff in one file 2. it'll easier to figure out how to move the document root 3. if you miss out on the Require all granted configuration, presently found only in apache2.conf, you'll get 403's that will drive you nuts--this is not documented in many tutorials found on the web, nor in https://help.ubuntu.com/13.10/serverguide/httpd.html ** Affects: apache2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: After installing apache, the default site configuration file is /etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf. [Bug 1285197] [NEW] growpart failed in ppc64el guest
Public bug reported: growpart uses sgdisk to resize gpt partition tables and then 'partx --update' to inform the kernel of those changes. an example usage of sgdisk ends up looking like this: # Modify the partition table. all in one go (order is important!): # - move the GPT backup header to the end of the disk # - delete the partition # - recreate the partition with the new size # - set the partition code # - set the partition GUID # - set the partition name sgdisk --move-second-header --delete=1 --new=1:18432:20971486 --typecode=1:0FC63DAF-8483-4772-8E79-3D69D8477DE4 --partition-guid=1:53FFEF70-1623-46CC-AFB7-EBC1EB5340F2 '--change-name=1:Linux filesystem' /dev/sda We're seeing an issue on ppc64el systems with gpt partition tables. This reproduces only occasionally. Note, when growpart runs, the partition it is updating is mounted. It does this to accomodate space at the end (a grow virtual disk). [Bug 1285363] [NEW] qemu-aarch64-static segfaults
Public bug reported: I've found a couple conditions that causes qemu-user-static to core dump fairly reliably - same with upstream git - while a binary built from suse's aarch64-1.6 branch seems to consistently work fine. Testing suggests they are resolved by the sigprocmask wrapper patches included in suse's tree. 1) dh_fixperms is a script that commonly runs at the end of a package build. Its basically doing a `find | xargs chmod`. 2) debootstrap --second-stage This is used to configure an arm64 chroot that was built using debootstrap on a non-native host. It is basically invoking a bunch of shell scripts (postinst, etc). When it blows up, the stack consistently looks like this: Core was generated by `/usr/bin/qemu-aarch64-static /bin/sh -e /debootstrap/debootstrap --second-stage'. Public bug reported: As requested on u-devel@, I tested QEMU 2.0~git-20140225.aa0d1f4-0ubuntu2 from ppa:ubuntu-virt/candidate. This has a regression with virtfs. I created a simple cloud-image based VM with autopkgtest: $ sudo apt-get install autopkgtest $ adt-buildvm-ubuntu-cloud This part works fine with the new QEMU (it already boots the cloud-image in qemu and runs cloud-init). But running it with a shared 9p directory crashes: $ mkdir -p /tmp/shared $ qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm -m 1024 -nographic -virtfs local,id=autopkgtest,path=/tmp/shared,security_model=none,mount_tag=myshare -snapshot adt-trusty-amd64-cloud.img ** ERROR:/build/buildd/qemu-2.0~git-20140225.aa0d1f4/qom/object.c:331:object_initialize_with_type: assertion failed: (type != NULL) Abgebrochen (Speicherabzug geschrieben) It should be easy enough to reproduce and the assertion message already should be clear, but this is the intersting part of the (unretraced) stack trace: #2 0x7fe3329a9195 in g_assertion_message (domain=domain@entry=0x0, file=file@entry=0x7fe334c5a8e8 /build/buildd/qemu-2.0~git-20140225.aa0d1f4/qom/object.c, line=line@entry=331, func=func@entry=0x7fe334c5ac40 object_initialize_with_type, message=message@entry=0x7fe336e06e40 assertion failed: (type != NULL)) at /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.39.90/./glib/gtestutils.c:2291 lstr = 331\000\377\177\000\000\320ޠF\377\177\000\000\220\026\321\066\343\177\000\000R\252\305\064\343\177\000 s = 0x7fe336e06e70 pp\340\066\343\177 #3 0x7fe3329a922a in g_assertion_message_expr (domain=0x0, file=0x7fe334c5a8e8 /build/buildd/qemu-2.0~git-20140225.aa0d1f4/qom/object.c, line=331, func=0x7fe334c5ac40 object_initialize_with_type, expr=optimized out) at /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.39.90/./glib/gtestutils.c:2306 s = 0x7fe336e06e40 assertion failed: (type != NULL) ** Affects: qemu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: As requested on u-devel@, I tested QEMU 2.0~git-20140225.aa0d1f4-0ubuntu2 from ppa:ubuntu-virt/candidate. [Bug 1285508] [NEW] [ppa 2.0~git-20140225] mouse cursor invisible with Ubuntu live system
Public bug reported: As requested on u-devel@, I tested QEMU 2.0~git-20140225.aa0d1f4-0ubuntu2 from ppa:ubuntu-virt/candidate. This has a regression with the mouse cursor. I downloaded the current Ubuntu Desktop trusty beta-1 amd64 image, and booted it in QEMU: $ kvm -m 2048 -cdrom trusty-desktop-amd64.iso This boots fine, but in the desktop I don't see any mouse cursor. ** Affects: qemu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1285508 Title: [ppa 2.0~git-20140225] mouse cursor invisible with Ubuntu live system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1285508/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
