Debian reports that this was fixed in 2.4.10-1. As Utopic is on

Fix Released.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

I think I spoke to you on IRC about this a while ago? We follow Debian's
configure options by default. It would be useful to understand what
Debian's position on this is. Is Debian also missing this configuration
option in 2.4, and if so have we asked them to re-add it?

[Bug 1369481] [NEW] The trusty machine type should stick to the 2.0 version

2014-09-15 Thread Thomas Herve
Public bug reported:

If I understand correctly, the pc-i440fx-trusty machine type introduced
by bug #1294823 is meant to solve migration problems, by using a default
which stay the same between versions.

Unfortunately the patch was written by pointing to the pc default
machine type, so is 2.1 in the utopic packaging version.

It seems the intent of the machine type is to stay stable over time, so
it would make sense to me if the patch was fixed in the utopic version
to point to the 2.0 machine type, instead of the default.

[Bug 1333388] Re: mod_ident no longer included in apache

2014-09-15 Thread Alex Bligh
Yes, we did talk on IRC :-)

As far as I can tell, utopic 2.4.10-1ubuntu1 does not build modident
(still). I suspect what might have been fixed in the debian bug my
report got merged into (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=711925) is the constant removal of any module
called modident wherever you load it from. However, this doesn't address
the problem that modident is missing in the first place.

[Bug 1367904] Re: Soundconverter ask for i386 libs on x64

2014-09-15 Thread Robie Basak
This isn't a mysql-5.1 bug, so reassigning to Ubuntu.

Please note that this is the Ubuntu bug tracker, not a help forum. If
you need help, see http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community for community
support options.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem,
rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete.

Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it
helpful to read How to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem,
explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem
specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New.

[Bug 1365618] Re: [MIR] python-xstatic

2014-09-15 Thread Corey Bryant
Hi Thomas,

I think the issue is other python-xstatic-* packages and having dependencies
that are not yet in main (e.g. libjs-angularjs). We need to work it out on our
end.

Thanks for submitting this bug. Indeed we should re-set the trusty
machine type to point to 2.0.

We could introduce a utopic machine type, but since utopic won't be
supported at the next LTS I'm thinking of not doing so.

[Bug 1369785] [NEW] kvm modules not autoloaded on ppc64el

2014-09-15 Thread Steve Langasek
Public bug reported:

on ppc64el, the kvm modules are not autoloaded. The qemu-system-x86
package contains an init script that loads the kvm modules for the
platform, but there is no corresponding init script for ppc64el, where
the kvm-hv module needs to be loaded.

** Affects: qemu (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1369792] [NEW] Python yaml missing from mongodb install on precise and trusty

2014-09-15 Thread Stephanie
Public bug reported:

Hi there,

I've been having a problem getting mongodb to deploy. I believe that the
mongodb charm needs an 'apt-get install python-yaml' before calling hooks.py in
these files:
https://github.com/charms/mongodb/blob/precise/hooks/install
https://github.com/charms/mongodb/blob/trusty/hooks/install

based on this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/charms/+source/haproxy/+bug/1302642

I've tried now from linode with manual provisioning. I ended up adding
it to my node create script there. Today I tried to follow the Digital
Ocean Juju steps and deploying to 3 nodes fails all in the same spot
asking for python-yaml
