Well, I can't attest to Dan Kegel's setting, but this is my copy of
`/etc/default/lxc-net`. Indeed, that line isn't commented out, and I
don't have a `dnsmasq.conf` in `/etc/lxc`.

Re: [Bug 1405256] Re: Package does not contain service file

2015-01-10 Thread Serge Hallyn
So I think long term (i.e. 16.04 and later) this will become a job for
systemd. What I'm not sure about is whether in the meantime we want
to implement another generic way of achieving this, or simply show
how to do it manually. I personally think the simplest thing to do
would be to create an upstart job that creates the cgroups you want.
For instances if you want a Web cgroup in the memory, cpuset, and
freezer hierarchies, owned by uid 100, with certain constraints, and you
have cgmanager and cgmanager-utils installed, you could create
/etc/init/setup-cgroups.conf containing (untested):

description set up initial cgroups
task
start on started cgmanager

script
cgm movepidabs all / $$
cgm create freezer Web
cgm create memory Web
cgm create cpuset Web
cgm setvalue cpuset Web cpuset.cpus 0-1
cgm setvalue cpuset Web cpuset.mems 0
cgm chown freezer Web 1000 1000
cgm chown memory Web 1000 1000
cgm chown cpuset Web 1000 1000
end script

[Bug 1234376] Re: HOSTALIAS doesn't update after changing config files

2015-01-10 Thread Evan Broder
Thanks for the approvals, Sebastian and Brian.

I've repeated the steps I outlined in the description and confirmed that
the bug does not occur with the packages in -proposed. I've also
installed the packages in our production nagios server and confirmed
that things seem to more or less work as expected.

[Bug 1197884] Re: apache2.2 SSL has no forward-secrecy: need ECDHE keys

2015-01-10 Thread Jonathan
hi,

i included the patch from debian to ubuntu. Added an debdiff.

about the openssl/mac os x problem:

if i follow the ciphers from
https://community.qualys.com/blogs/securitylabs/2013/08/05/configuring-
apache-nginx-and-openssl-for-forward-secrecy

ciphers with ECDHE-ECDSA-* are not enabled, so this should not be a problem.
for details see http://wiki.openssl.org/index.php/SSL_OP_SAFARI_ECDHE_ECDSA_BUG

my patched apache is now running without any problem more than a week.

[Bug 1406925] Re: lxc-start fails due to insufficient permission for creating netdev

I just realize that I added `lxc.aa_allow_incomplete = 1` to the lxc
`config` file before the initial issue. Now after adding the very same
line the issue disappeared, i.e. I can start the lxc `p2`. What now?

+ Install precise.
+ On precise, enable multiple architectures (say amd64 and i386)
+ install libkadm5srv-mit8.
+
+ Update your sources.list to trusty, try installing libkadm5srv-mit8.
+ I'd expect that to fail.
+
+ Update your sources.list to also include trusty-proposed.
+ Upgrade libkadm5srv-mit8; I'd expect that to succeed.
+
+ I've phrased that in terms of manually changing sources.list rather than
+ using the release upgrader, because I don't know how to do a release
+ upgrade with proposed enabled. If there's an easy way to do that, then
+ I'd expect the following to work:
+
+ Install precise including both amd64 and i386 and install
+ libkadm5srv-mit8.
+ Do a release upgrade.
+ I'd expect it to fail.
+
+ Install precise including both amd64 and i386. Install

[Bug 1367495] Re: Bridge still not created if bind9 is on

2015-01-10 Thread Yonatan Yehezkeally
This is odd. On advice from Flockport community I attempted to manually
configure the bridge (its basic elements, at least) by entering
sudo brctl addbr lxcbr0
sudo ifconfig lxcbr0 10.0.3.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up

This went just fine, with `ifconfig` reporting (beyond those interfaces already
present in the attached file:
lxcbr0Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 8e:8c:5c:47:3b:bd
  inet addr:10.0.3.1 Bcast:10.0.3.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
  inet6 addr: fe80::8c8c:5cff:fe47:3bbd/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
  RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
  TX packets:35 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
  collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
  RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:3632 (3.6 KB)

Note in particular the `inet addr`, which is the same one `lxc-net.log` claimed
couldn't be used. However, recycling `lxc-net` fails, either with:
server@srv-Ub1404:~$ sudo restart lxc-net
restart: Job failed to restart
Or
server@srv-Ub1404:~$ sudo stop lxc-net
stop: Job failed while stopping
server@srv-Ub1404:~$ sudo start lxc-net
lxc-net start/running

In both cases, the bridge is gone from the output of `ifconfig` as a
result. `/var/log/upstart/lxc-net.log` is exactly as it is in the
attached version (complaining about `dnsmasq.conf`, which is
understandable, but also about 10.0.3.1 already being in use).

[Bug 1363897] Re: kdb5_ldap_util can not create krbContainer

2015-01-10 Thread Gabriel Burkholder
Edit /etc/krb5.conf, and change the section:

[dbdefaults]
ldap_kerberos_container_dn = dc=example,dc=com

to

[dbdefaults]
ldap_kerberos_container_dn = cn=krbContainer,dc=example,dc=com

This issue appears to have been introduced in kdb5_ldap_util 1.12:
http://mailman.mit.edu/pipermail/kerberos/2014-March/019575.html

Basically, you have to start ldap_kerberos_container_dn with a 'cn'.

Unfortunately, I believe the official Ubuntu LTS documentation is to blame here.
Anyone following those directions is going to run into this issue:
https://help.ubuntu.com/14.04/serverguide/kerberos-ldap.html#kerberos-ldap-primary-kdc

[Bug 1314058] Re: app_stack.so: undefined symbol: ast_agi_unregister

2015-01-10 Thread Pieter De Wit
Here is a work around (or even a perm. fix ?)

in /etc/asterisk/modules.conf

Add the following line *before* the autoload=yes line:

load = res_agi.so

This will fix the error that app_stack needs agi to be loaded.

Tested on a clean installed 14.04 machine.

Cheers,

Pieter
