[Bug 1407990] Re: apache2.4 mod-php5.5 random segmentation faults in zend_stack_push() and zend_hash_find()
The root cause of the problem has been determined to lie with the apache2handler for PHP. It is not sufficiently up to date to function well with Apache 2.4 receiving pipelined requests. A patch for the most common setup has been developed, but it has not yet been integrated upstream. I have also put in an enhancement request at https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=57756, for a configuration option that could provide a fallback for server administrator, because this may equally affect other Apache 2.4 add-on handlers that have not undergone rigorous testing for this use case. ** Bug watch added: bz.apache.org/bugzilla/ #57756 https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=57756 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407990 Title: apache2.4 mod-php5.5 random segmentation faults in zend_stack_push() and zend_hash_find() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1407990/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1436369] [NEW] VPN stops working on launch torrent application
Public bug reported: When I have an active OpenVPN connection, created via network-manager- vpn or commandline opnvpn and start a torrent application (tested with transmission-gtk and deluge), my connection stops working. As long as I keep the torrent app closed, I can browse/mail/chat/ssh/ping all I want as expected. But on opening the app, all network traffic seems te bo blocked. Don't know how to further test this, but do suggest commands I should try. I've got no clue what's causing this. Only thing I know is this stopped working sometime after upgrading to the current 15.04 alpha. This happens on two different OpenVPN providers. [Bug 1432715] Re: tomcat7 ftbfs in vivd (test failures)
It seems that this bug consists of many partially independent bugs. I found at least two: (1) openjdk in vivid has SSLv3 disable but tests try to use it and get 'protocol is disabled or cipher suites are inappropriate' as a warkaround you may enable sslv3 back by commenting the following line in /etc/java-7-openjdk/security/java.security: # jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms=SSLv3 (2) another issue is that certificates inside the package expired which leads to SSL errors here and there for example: $ head test/org/apache/tomcat/util/net/localhost-cert.pem Certificate: Data: Version: 3 (0x2) Serial Number: 4099 (0x1003) Signature Algorithm: sha1WithRSAEncryption Issuer: C=US, CN=ca-test.tomcat.apache.org Validity Not Before: Feb 28 05:28:42 2013 GMT Not After : Feb 28 05:28:42 2015 GMT Subject: C=US, CN=localhost Note Feb 28 2015 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1432715 Title: tomcat7 ftbfs in vivd (test failures) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomcat7/+bug/1432715/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1432608] Re: [SRU] icehouse 2014.1.4 point release
Hello Corey, or anyone else affected, Accepted nova into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nova/1:2014.1.4-0ubuntu1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . [Bug 1435428] Re: vivid: systemd breaks qemu-nbd mounting
Hmmm, there may still be an issue, as I didn't encounter this yesterday when doing my task multiple times after booting with Upstart. First three tarballs exported swimmingly, but the fourth time it seemed to hang, so I checked dmesg and saw this: [ 6009.696624] INFO: task jbd2/nbd0p1-8:26664 blocked for more than 120 seconds. [Bug 1435937] Re: [MIR] python-semantic-version, python-oslo.log, python-oslo.policy, python-oslo.versionedobjects
python-oslo.log from the PPA (https://launchpad.net/~james- page/+archive/ubuntu/kilo/+packages) is fine too. Though, is there a reason it only runs the python2 tests? It gives lintian warning virtual-package-depends-without-real-package- depends build-depends-indep: python-oslo-config but that's due to a weird stanza in python-oslo-config, where python-oslo-config-doc has Provides: python-oslo-config Could you look at that at some point and remove that stanza? Also, only the python2 version of this package needs to be promoted, I believe. If we do end up promoting the python3 version, we'll need to promote the python3-oslo-serialization binary package (source is in main already). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to python-semantic-version in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1435937 Title: [MIR] python-semantic-version, python-oslo.log, python-oslo.policy, python-oslo.versionedobjects To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-semantic-version/+bug/1435937/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Thanks for the report. [Bug 1308284] Re: catalina.properties points to wrong location for shared libraries and classes
This ticket seems to be a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomcat7/+bug/1232258 The #1232258 ticket suggests instead that symlinks be created to resolve this problem. Unfortunately, simply changing the ${catalina.home} settings in the catalina.properties file(s) to ${catalina.base} won't work in all scenarios. A good example is when you use the tomcat7-user package to install multiple instances of Tomcat under different user accounts. In this scenario, ${catalina.base} would point at the Tomcat user account installation (which would NOT include these various common directories by default), while ${catalina.home} would still point at /usr/share/tomcat7/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat7 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1308284 Title: catalina.properties points to wrong location for shared libraries and classes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomcat7/+bug/1308284/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1232258] Re: tomcat7 installer fails to create symbolic links
After further analysis today, I realized my suggestion to correct the configurations in catalina.properties to point at ${catalina.base} instead of ${catalina.home} was WRONG. The original suggestion of symlinks is a better solution, since the location of ${catalina.base} may not always resolve to /var/lib/tomcat7/. A good example is when you use the tomcat7-user package to install multiple instances of Tomcat under different user accounts. In this scenario, ${catalina.base} would point at the Tomcat user account installation (which would NOT include these various common directories), while ${catalina.home} would still point at /usr/share/tomcat7/ So, all in all, the correct solution here seems to be what was initially recommended. The tomcat7 package should automatically add these three symlinks to /usr/share/tomcat7/: sudo ln -s /var/lib/tomcat7/common/ common sudo ln -s /var/lib/tomcat7/server/ server sudo ln -s /var/lib/tomcat7/shared/ shared As far as I'm aware those are the only symlinks that should be necessary to resolve this issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat7 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1232258 Title: tomcat7 installer fails to create symbolic links To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomcat7/+bug/1232258/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1039420] Re: NTP security vulnerability because not using authentication by default
In response to Sami's comments on ANTP: The MUST is that if you use RSA, the key length is = 2048 bits. The protocol supports any public key encryption scheme, and ECDH is listed as an option as well. Similarly, AES-CBC+HMAC-SHA is one possible authenticated encryption scheme. The others you mention would work just fine as well. Changing the crypto algorithms wouldn't make the protocol much simpler, IMO. If you have suggestions for simplifications (while preserving ANTP's security) I'd like to hear them. [Bug 1436645] [NEW] Relation to eucalyptus no stated in man pages
Public bug reported: The individual man pages do not reveal the relation to the package, which is confusing when seeing the man page. The man pages note that they describe a user command and are in man section 1 (see below for a typical example page). The command names use a common prefix euare- with no obvious meaning. Even the last line does not help for a user who does not know what a ools is. Based on this, it look like it describes some variant of the local system commands, like belonging to a different desktop environment or so. So, there is very few information about what the commands belong to. As solution, the man pages should at least say they are related to Eucalyptus; even better, they could contain a one or two line summary stating the relation of Eucalyptus to AWS. (The package short description is tools for interacting with AWS API-compatible services for example) Version euca2ools 3.0.2-1ubuntu1 Example from man page of euare-groupmod: -- EUARE-GROUPMOD(1) User Commands EUARE-GROUPMOD(1) NAME euare-groupmod - Change the name and/or path of a group SYNOPSIS euare-groupmod -g GROUP [-n GROUP] [-p PATH] [--as-account ACCOUNT] [--region USER@REGION | -U URL] [-I KEY_ID] [-S KEY] [--debug] [--debugger] [--version] [-h] DESCRIPTION Change the name and/or path of a group optional arguments: [ ... ] -h, --help show this help message and exit euca2ools 3.0.1 August 2013 EUARE-GROUPMOD(1) -- ** Affects: euca2ools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: + The individual man pages do not reveal the relation to the package, + which is confusing when seeing the man page. + The man pages note that they describe a user command and are in man section 1 (see below for a typical example page).
