The test described in the bug fails in Ubuntu 14.04.2.

The following packages were tried as well: libnuma1 2.0.9~rc5-1ubuntu3
and numactl 2.0.9~rc5-1ubuntu3

In all cases the test failed. The efix for 14.04.1 provided by Thierry
Fauck worked but it was not used in 14.04.02

feedback for the test package which was the same except the additional
changes for testing).

By "this patch" d you mean:

?

As far as I can tell this patch has never been sent to the libnuma
mailing list (I had assumed it had been). It is not in the upstream git
tree. Were you planning on sending it?

The bug is 'Fix Released' because it is fixed in our packages.

If you have no intention of sending the patch to the mailing list please
let us know, and I'll mail it.

*Please* reply, if possible, with a regular email to
1358...@bugs.launchpad.net .

[Bug 1498179] [NEW] Azure: After changing hostname, old hostname is still published to DHCP after reboot

2015-09-21 Thread Stephen A. Zarkos
Public bug reported:

Tested with latest Ubuntu 14.04 image on Azure (20150908).

In Azure, the DHCP client on Ubuntu VMs is configured to push the
current hostname to the DHCP server, which then publishes the hostname
into Azure DNS. However, after changing the hostname and rebooting, the
old hostname is always pushed to Azure DNS instead of the new one.

Repro steps:

  - Create Ubuntu 14.04 VM on Azure
  - Edit /etc/hostname to change the hostname
  - Reboot the VM
  - After reboot, the hostname will be changed, but commands like 'hostname -f'
and 'sudo' will complain that the new hostname cannot be found via a DNS lookup.

Next, bounce DHCP to force the DNS update and check that the new
hostname has been published:

  - Run "sudo ifdown eth0 && sudo ifup eth0"
  - After a few seconds run: "host NEWHOSTNAME".

DNS lookup to the new hostname should succeed now indicating that the
new hostname was pushed to the DHCP server and into Azure DNS. Commands
like 'hostname -f' and 'sudo' will work now.

However, after rebooting the OLD hostname will again be published to
DNS:

  - Run 'sudo reboot'
  - After logging in, run "host OLDHOSTNAME" and see that the old hostname is
again published to DNS. Commands like "hostname -f" and "host NEWHOSTNAME"
will again fail.

[Bug 1320709] Re: incorrect info in /usr/share/doc/awstats/README.Debian.gz about logrotate

2015-09-21 Thread Willie
Perhaps a valid fix is to change the su line to:
su -s /bin/sh -l -c /usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh www-data

This would allow the shell to stay as /usr/sbin/nologin, but
specifically override that just for the logrotate job.

[Bug 1494141] Re: HAProxy 1.5 init script does not terminate processes

2015-09-21 Thread Micah Gersten
Oh, I didn't realize that my previous backport upload was already
accepted. This still needs a patch. I think we should just apply
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/213125772/haproxy_1.4.24-2ubuntu0.1_1.4.24-2ubuntu0.2.diff.gz
to backports, could you please test this? I've upload a test package to
my PPA ppa:micahg/ppa
