[Bug 1434257] Re: MAAS should set dnssec-validation to no in /etc/bind/named.conf.options

2015-09-23 Thread Blake Rouse
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1384334 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1384334

This is a duplicate and the duplicate has this marked fixed. MAAS 1.8
handles this option correctly and allows the user to change the setting
directly in the MAAS settings either through the API or the UI.

[Bug 1394403] Re: RewriteRule of "^$" is broken

2015-09-23 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package apache2 - 2.4.7-1ubuntu4.6

---
apache2 (2.4.7-1ubuntu4.6) trusty; urgency=medium

  * d/p/fix_rewrite_rule.patch: Add a configurable option to keep mod_dir from
running when another handler is set. This makes default behavior
consistant with 2.2, and fixes (LP: #1394403)
- This adds the configuration option "DirectoryCheckHandler" which is
present in apache 2.4.8 and later versions. The default value is
  "DirectoryCheckHandler Off".
- This will change default behavior. Instead of mod_dir running even if
other rules are being run, mod_dir will only run when no other rules
have been processed by default. This is the expected behavior of
mod_dir, and is consistant with the behavior of mod_dir in apache
versions < 2.4 and > 2.4.8, and so the default value of this
configuration option will correct the bug.
- The current default behavior, which is considered to be a bug, can be
  kept by setting "DirectoryCheckHandler On".

[Bug 1445914] Re: Secure web socket proxy does not work in Apache 2.4.7

2015-09-23 Thread Chris J Arges
Hello gianluca, or anyone else affected,

Accepted apache2 into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/2.4.7-1ubuntu4.7 in a few
hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1461573] Re: [SRU] trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/skip-tracker', which is also in package python-tempest-lib

2015-09-23 Thread Felipe Reyes
This is fixed in Debian and Wily, so we just need get Vivid fixed, the
patch is already attached to this bug report

** Description changed:

  [Impact]

When trying to install python-tempest-lib and python3-tempest-lib in Vivid, I
  got the following error

  Unpacking python3-tempest-lib (0.4.0-0ubuntu1) ...
  dpkg: error processing archive
/var/cache/apt/archives/python3-tempest-lib_0.4.0-0ubuntu1_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/skip-tracker', which is also in package
python-tempest-lib 0.4.0-0ubuntu1

I would expect to be able to install both packages and be able to run python
scripts using version 2 or 3 of the interpreter.

The patch renames /usr/bin/skip-tracker generated with '#!/usr/bin/python3.4'
  shebang to /usr/bin/python3-skip-tracker
+
+ This problem was already fixed in Debian and Wily.

  [Test Case]

  To reproduce just run:

  $ sudo apt-get update
  $ sudo apt-get install python-tempest-lib python3-tempest-lib

Expected result: both packages get installed

  Actual result:
  Unpacking python3-tempest-lib (0.4.0-0ubuntu1) ...
  dpkg: error processing archive
/var/cache/apt/archives/python3-tempest-lib_0.4.0-0ubuntu1_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/skip-tracker', which is also in package
python-tempest-lib 0.4.0-0ubuntu1

  [Regression Potential]

None expected. skip-tracker is registered with update-alternatives, so
no changes will be done from a user's point of view.

  [Other Info]

  None.

** Patch removed: "lp1461573_wily.debdiff"

[Bug 1336801] Re: 12.04 guest hangs on a 14.04 host server with cirrus graphics

2015-09-23 Thread Stefan Bader
The errors about the frame buffer device happen because grub is started in
graphical mode and then the boot wants to replace the framebuffer device/driver
while plymouth still holds it. I thought we should have fixed this before
release by adding cirrus to the list of graphics that should get initialized
late. So are people still having this issue with the latest updates?
A work around if this really still happens is to change /etc/default/grub and
uncomment the console mode. Not ultimately nice but should be working.

It seems dbconfig-common is now hold back because of this new test
failing. I just confirmed in a clean chroot that this is due to a
missing dependency in the control file for that test on fakeroot. What
is the smartest way forward? That I upload a new version to Debian that
fixes that, or that we fix it for now in Ubuntu?

Or are we too late anyways? I really think we should at least get the
fix for Debian bug #793816 in Ubuntu, as that is a regression.

I believe I know the fix. However, if I can do that for Debian I like to
also get the second autopkgtest to run as intended (after the upload I
found stashed changes that I thought I committed long time ago, now the
first test just runs twice). I was wondering how much time is still
left. One day, couple of days, two weeks? I am unsure for a package in main.

[Bug 1335391] Re: etckeeper with git breaks update-manager

Am I then only one thinking that etckeeper should have post-install
script to request git user.name and user.email fields to be filled for
root if those are missing? I know how to do that manually but I guess
random etckeeper user may not know that those are needed and it would be
much better user experience to ask for those during etckeeper install.

Affects me too after upgrading to 15.04.
When installing the packages, apt-get dist-upgrade terminated with an error
processing mysql-server.
I repeatead dist-upgrade, it installed mysql-server and another sql-related
package I don't remember flawlessly.
The 'report this' window popped up when logging in at the first reboot after
that install of the mysql-server 5.6.25-0ubuntu0.15.04.1.
I have no idea what exactly went wrong and afaik did not use or change mysql at

[Bug 1499155] [NEW] Description of mysql-server package wrong/misleading

2015-09-23 Thread Konstantin
Public bug reported:

The description for the mysql-server metapackage is wrong.

The package's data reads:

Package: mysql-server
Version: 5.5.35+dfsg-1ubuntu1
Depends: mysql-server-5.5
Description-en: MySQL database server (metapackage depending on the latest
version)

However, the package depends on mysql-server-5.5 while there is mysql-
server-5.6 available as well. Thus, it doesn't depend on the "latest
version" as it claims.

In fact, mysql-server-5.5 is the oldest version in the current
repositories.

The description should read something like
"MySQL database server (metapackage depending on a conservative default
version)"
