[Bug 1504781] Re: lxc-test-ubuntu hangs forever in trusty-proposed with Linux 3.13.0-66: AppArmor denies /dev/ptmx mounting
Hi Marc, please check comment #33 from Serge. He explained that formally lxc in precise is not covered by lts. However a very special case as a LTS update in main in precise (kernel) did break unrelated software (lxc) which is a clear regression. And then not having that other software not in being in main -> skips it from LTS is lets say very annoying. @Robert: using that higher version of lxc is not a perfect drop-up replacement either as usage changed compared to old precise lxc (i.e. no lxc-list anymore but lxc-ls -f) and maybe other changes. We'll probably look into backporting the lxc fix for precise as we have quite a few machines affected. But no ETA, so if anybody else here can pick that up before that would be very welcome. @Serge: Any chance to get some policy statement from Ubuntu here? As i see maybe that example as very special regression caused by lts update should maybe warrant fixing items not in main if broken by it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1504781 Title: lxc-test-ubuntu hangs forever in trusty-proposed with Linux 3.13.0-66: AppArmor denies /dev/ptmx mounting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1504781/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1510318] Re: Augeas 1.3 can't read some conf files
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We can't bump augeas in Vivid and Wily as they are already released, but it looks like it should be fairly easy to cherry-pick just this fix without regressing existing users. Is this accurate? In this case, if somebody can prepare and test a backported patch for 1.3.0-0ubuntu1, I will be happy to help drive this to a fix in Wily, Vivid and Xenial which all currently are on that version. I will need a commitment from someone to verify the fix for each release as even though I appreciate there is an automated test case, we do still require manual verification for updates to stable releases in order to minimise risk of regression to existing users. [Bug 1510099] Re: Asterisk 11 deb source wont compile
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I am unable to reproduce and successfully test built asterisk 1:11.7.0 ~dfsg-1ubuntu1 on Trusty using sbuild. Could it be some issue with your build environment? See my build log attached. I'm marking this Invalid since asterisk 1:11.7.0~dfsg-1ubuntu1 can successfully be built on Trusty. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SimpleSbuild for help, or see http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community for community support options if you are having difficulty. [Bug 1510565] Re: [needs-packaging] Juju 1.25.0 is not in xenial and wily
My juju-core 1.25.0 package is based on 1.24.6-0ubuntu3. 1.25.0 contains 16 dependencies changes: * 2 new go packages, github.com/juju/deputy and gopkg.in/juju/environschema.v1 * 13 update go packages that are unique to juju-core * 1 package, github.com/juju/loggo, is newer than the the dh-golang go package. [Bug 1492227] Re: 0.94.3 stable update
Ceph 0.94.4 is out with important bug fixes, released oct 19. Will it appear in vivid/wily soon? v0.94.4 Hammer released This Hammer point fixes several important bugs in Hammer, as well as fixing interoperability issues that are required before an upgrade to Infernalis. That is, all users of earlier version of Hammer or any version of Firefly will first need to upgrade to hammer v0.94.4 or later before upgrading to Infernalis (or future releases).
