[Bug 979067] Re: NM fails to configure routing correctly when connect to two LANs

2015-12-22 Thread Ouroborus
I have a similar situation (at least it fits the title). I have two
wired NICs, one configured for static (10GbE) and the other configured
for DHCP (1GbE). Only the DHCP-configured NIC ever has internet access.
It seems that no matter how I arrange things, NetworkManager sets the
default route to be the internet-less, static-configured NIC.

[Bug 1528710] [NEW] overly agressive URLField validation causes failures

2015-12-22 Thread LaMont Jones
Public bug reported:

If the django site lives somewhere that the admins have declared a bogus
top-level domain, and chosen to use an rfc1035-conforming name (with a
hyphen in the middle of it), then django URLField validation considers
the domain to be invalid. (I suspect that IANA hasn't released any TLDs
with hyphens yet - making them the ideal choice right now for "something
that won't be real".)

That is to say: http://ubuntu-mirror.my-tld/ubuntu is flagged as an
invalid URL, even though the DNS has an IP for it, and apt happily
upgrades from the archive mirror that is there.

Please fix the validator to allow hyphens in the tld_re.

[Bug 1528735] [NEW] Suspend reboots every second time on Lenovo G50-45

2015-12-22 Thread David Cameron Staples
Public bug reported:

Fresh install of Xubuntu 14.04.3, replacing existing OEM Windows 10.
Install detected UEFI, and installed in UEFI mode. (I have attempted to
change to legacy boot, and got it to a state where it was booting
without /sys/firmware/efi/ being present, but behaviour persisted.)

Suspending the laptop, whether by closing the lid, choosing the suspend
option from the menu, or directly typing "sudo pm-suspend" works
perfectly well... once.

The second attempt to suspend, whether immediately or hours later,
suspends the laptop (I can see the screen turn off, and hear the disk
and fans stop, but a moment later the screen shows bright yellow console
text declaring "Warning!!! Boot script table modified!!! Please contact
your vendor.", and then it hard reboots.

This appears to be a weird interaction between suspend and UEFI
protection, but others have reported that they have had working suspend
when installed alone (and presumably in legacy from the start), but this
behaviour appeared when reinstalled as dual-boot (when presumably UEFI
would have had to be on). (http://askubuntu.com/questions/675683
/suspend-does-not-work-more-than-once-after-reboot-ubuntu-15-04-dual-
boot/712232 and earlier http://askubuntu.com/questions/651481/boot-
script-table-modified-please-contact-vendor, from different people.)

Beyond the investigations I have done, I know next to nothing about
UEFI, or how Suspend might be interacting with it. Much less why it
appears to work perfectly exactly once.

[Bug 685096] Re: USB Passthrough not working for Windows 7 guest

2015-12-22 Thread FFO
The only way to see my iPhone (or any USB device) in the Windows guest
is to have it redirected via "Spice", not with libvirt xml capture
elements.

Select Redirect USB device in virt-viewer and it just works.

I have upgraded to Qemu 2.4, libvirt 1.2.21 and upgraded the qemu machine to
"q35" as I tried hard to make it work via xml.
Now that I have it working, I don't plan to check if it works with less current
software / machines.

[Bug 1528552] Re: package libdns-export100 1:9.9.5.dfsg-11ubuntu1.1 failed to install/upgrade: package libdns-export100 is already installed and configured

2015-12-22 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when
trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following
command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal:

sudo apt-get clean

Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your
issue, but the failure could be caused by filesystem or memory
corruption. So please also run a fsck on your filesystem(s) and a
memory test. Thanks in advance!

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]
