[Bug 1559801] [NEW] OpenSSH GSSAPI Authentication Broken In Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial

2016-03-20 Thread Brian Knoll
Public bug reported:

OpenSSH server GSSAPI authentication appears to be broken in Ubuntu
16.04 Xenial. Ticket #1558576 details some other issues regarding
breakage in Ubuntu 16.04 pertaining to OpenSSH, but this ticket is
specifically for the fact that GSSAPI authentication is no longer
working, on the server side, in Xenial 16.04. By "on the server side",
I mean that the client works fine and can connect using GSSAPI
authentication (key exchange or not) with another machine, but if a
Xenial server is configured to allow GSSAPI authentication, it does not
function any more. This functionality worked fine in Trusty 14.04. In
16.04, if both the server and the client are configured to allow GSSAPI
authentication, the method always fails and OpenSSH continues to fall
through to the next authentication in the list.

I am willing to help debug this, so please let me know how I can help.

Thanks,
Brian

[Bug 1559775] Re: package slapd 2.4.42+dfsg-2ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2016-03-20 Thread Ryan Tandy
from DpkgTerminalLog:

Setting up slapd (2.4.42+dfsg-2ubuntu3) ...
  Backing up /etc/ldap/slapd.d in /var/backups/slapd-2.4.31-1+nmu2ubuntu8.2...
done.
Moving old database directories to /var/backups:

  Backup path /var/backups/dc=nodomain-2.4.31-1+nmu2ubuntu8.2.ldapdb
exists. Giving up...

The upgrade script is trying to back up your existing slapd config
before upgrading, but the location it wants to back it up to already
exists (maybe from a previous upgrade attempt, or a dpkg-reconfigure, or
something else). Remove or rename that directory, and issue the command

dpkg --configure --pending

to complete the upgrade.

[Bug 1559747] Re: [REGRESSION] Rsync fails to send modifled files

2016-03-20 Thread teo1978
** Changed in: rsync (Ubuntu)
   Status: Confirmed => Invalid

** Summary changed:

- [REGRESSION] Rsync fails to send modifled files
+ Ignore, my bad

** Description changed:

- 1) I have modified a file whose path relative to the current directory
- is ./protected/controllers/MessageController.php. Incidentally, I have
- also modified some files in ./protected/runtime
-
- 2) I do:
-
-   $ rsync -avz --no-o --no-g --exclude-from=excludelist.txt ./protected
- ./themes ./css r...@example.com:/srv/www/xxx/public_html
-
- The content of excludelist.txt is:
-   runtime/*
-   yiic
-   views/static/*
-   css/info_video.css
-
- EXPECTED:
- the modified file ./protected/controllers/MessageController.php should be
uploaded to the server
-
- OBSERVED:
- it isn't.
-
- I had done this literally thousands of times and it always worked, until
- now.
-
- The output was:
-   sending incremental file list
-   protected/runtime/
-
-   sent 40,652 bytes received 1,021 bytes 7,576.91 bytes/sec
-   total size is 11,521,344 speedup is 276.47
-
- as if only files within protected/runtime (which is in the exclude list)
- were modified.

[Bug 1559747] [NEW] [REGRESSION] Rsync fails to send modifled files

2016-03-20 Thread teo1978
Public bug reported:

1) I have modified a file whose path relative to the current directory
is ./protected/controllers/MessageController.php. Incidentally, I have
also modified some files in ./protected/runtime

2) I do:

  $ rsync -avz --no-o --no-g --exclude-from=excludelist.txt ./protected
./themes ./css r...@example.com:/srv/www/xxx/public_html

The content of excludelist.txt is:
  runtime/*
  yiic
  views/static/*
  css/info_video.css

EXPECTED:
the modified file ./protected/controllers/MessageController.php should be
uploaded to the server

OBSERVED:
it isn't.

I had done this literally thousands of times and it always worked, until
now.

The output was:
  sending incremental file list
  protected/runtime/

  sent 40,652 bytes received 1,021 bytes 7,576.91 bytes/sec
total size is 11,521,344 speedup is 276.47

as if only files within protected/runtime (which is in the exclude list)
were modified.

I repeated after modifying the file again, and this time the output was:
  sending incremental file list
  protected/controllers/
  protected/runtime/

  sent 40,661 bytes received 1,026 bytes 9,263.78 bytes/sec
total size is 11,521,344 speedup is 276.38

as if differences were detected inside the protected/controllers/
directory but only in files that match some of the exclude patters.
Which is not the case. I mean, there are files that have been modified
which match an excluded pattern (an autogenerated

[Bug 1559699] Re: [1.9.1] Commissioning doesn't detect partitioning of secondary hard disk

2016-03-20 Thread Martin Nowack
Thank you for the clarification.

Yes, it is pre-partioned.
The bigger problem with this is, that even the disk is not used, all the
partitions get *deleted*.

According to current documentation
(http://maas.ubuntu.com/docs/changelog.html) it says:

"Default Storage Partitioning Layout - Flat
[...]
The current default Partitioning layout is ‘Flat’, maintaining backwards
compatibility with previous MAAS releases. This means MAAS will take the first
disk it finds in the system and use it as the root and boot disk.
"
I was expecting there are no modifications on secondary disks.

[Bug 1559169] Re: containers no longer start after upgrade to 2.0.0~rc11-0ubuntu1

2016-03-20 Thread Stéphane Graber
Curtis: can you paste a log to confirm it's the same issue as Colin?

It looks like some of the cgroup:mixed logic recently introduced in
cgfsng (to match that of the old cgfs backend) is a bit wrong here and
attempts to create a cpu/cpuset,cpuacct symlink instead of symlinking
cpu to cpuset,cpuacct.

Serge: can you take a look?

[Bug 1558125] [NEW] ntpd doesn't synchronize to local clock (ntpd 4.2.8p4/xenial)

[Bug 1559711] [NEW] DHCP.leases: Lease without mac address generated

2016-03-20 Thread Martin Nowack
Public bug reported:

Following lease entry was generated in dhcp.leases:

lease x.x.x.x {
  starts 0 2016/03/20 13:30:00;
  ends 0 2016/03/20 13:30:00;
  cltt 0 2016/03/20 13:30:00;
  binding state free;
}

This entry doesn't contain a "hardware ethernet ..." entry,
therefore dhcp/leases_parser_fast.py fails.

Replacing line 78 with the following works around the issue:
if not has_expired(entry, now) and hasattr(entry.hardware, 'mac'):

[Bug 1559699] Re: [1.9.1] Commissioning doesn't detect partitioning of secondary hard disk

2016-03-20 Thread Andres Rodriguez
The commissioning process does not detect the partitions of the disk
because MAAS will change the layout after commissioning. If the disk
layout has been changed from MAAS itself, and the user re-commissions
the machine, the user has the opportunity to "keep" the storage changes,
if so desires.

If I understand this bug correctly, you had your disk pre-partitioned
and you commissioned it, and MAAS didn't, as it is expected, detect the
partitioning layout.

As such I'm marking this bug as invalid, because it is not in MAAS.

However, if you changed the layout manually on the MAAS UI/API, and re-
commissioned the machine, and selected the option to 'Keep' the
partitioning layout on commissioning, but MAAS didn't keep it, then this
would be a different bug. If so, please file it against lp:maas.

[Bug 1559408] Re: Many PMD driver options are disabled, including "BNX2X"!

2016-03-20 Thread Thiago Martins
Yeah, I am unable to rebuild OpenvSwitch against my libdpdk-dev...
:-(

I can easily rebuild it, using Ubuntu's libdpdk-dev but, after enabling
BNX2X_PMD, OpenvSwitch doesn't build, I'm seeing the following error:

-
apt source openvswitch
cd openvswitch-2.5.0
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -uc -us

..
configure: error: cannot link with dpdk
..
-

Now I'm really stucked, I'll wait for Christian's help next week...
=)

Best,
Thiago

[Bug 1556306] Re: vhost-user: qemu stops processing packets under high load of traffic

2016-03-20 Thread cargonza
It should also be fixed in the qemu-kvm package. No additional bug
needed as this bug covers both qemu and qemu-kvm packages.

Sergey - any chance you can also push the patch into the qemu-kvm
package?

[Bug 1558196] Re: rpcbind does not start on boot under systemd

2016-03-20 Thread John Sopko
We are on the right track, I have tried so many things I need to reload
the system to reset the default config for everything. Our 14.04 systems
run rpc.statd but not all the other nfs stuff. So maybe enabling that
service will be a work around, that is it will cause rpcbind to start.
I will need some time to reload a default system. Thanks for your input.
