2018-05-22 Thread Andreas Hasenack
Don't worry, I'm not dropping the bug. I just want to understand why Debian
decided a "suggests" was enough. I will follow up on that.

[Bug 1772096] Re: fence_vmware_soap is not working after installation of fence-agents

2018-05-22 Thread Andreas Hasenack
Turns out the missing dependencies are "suggestions" in the fence-agents
packaging:
root@xenial-fence-agent:~# dpkg -s fence-agents|grep -E "(suds|requests)"
Suggests: python-requests, python-suds

Same in Cosmic, just for python3:
root@cosmic-fence-agents:~# dpkg -s fence-agents|grep -E "(suds|requests)"
Suggests: python3-adal, python3-azure, python3-requests, python3-suds

Since this is a sync with debian, it may be worth a bug at
https://bugs.debian.org.

[Bug 1772337] Re: package mysql-server-5.7 5.7.22-0ubuntu18.04.1 failed to install/upgrade: installed mysql-server-5.7 package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

2018-05-22 Thread Andreas Hasenack
This needs troubleshooting. The mysql logs have a bunch of these:
2018-05-21T01:01:35.759204Z 0 [ERROR] InnoDB: The error means the system cannot
find the path specified.

And dmesg shows many apparmor denied errors:
[ 5343.367505] audit: type=1400 audit(1526864499.821:48): apparmor="DENIED"
operation="open" profile="/usr/sbin/mysqld" name="/etc/my.cnf" pid=21556
comm="mysqld" requested_mask="r" denied_mask="r" fsuid=1001 ouid=0

That path above (/etc/my.cnf) seems wrong, btw, it should be inside
/etc/mysql/.

The terminal log also shows that the init script was modified:
配置文件 '/etc/init.d/mysql'
*** mysql (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [默认选项=N] ? y

Maybe this installation was too heavily modified from defaults.

[Bug 1772176] Re: package exim4-config 4.90.1-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: installed exim4-config package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1

2018-05-22 Thread Andreas Hasenack
Do a list of all exim packages:
dpkg -l|grep exim4

(make sure they are exim packages, and not just some package that
happens to have "exim" in the description)

Then you can try a few things:

sudo apt -f install
sudo apt purge

It could be that you would have to use dpkg with a --force option, since
what started all of this was a maintainer script error (postinst) and
there is no way to prevent those from running at package
installation/removal.

The file /etc/amavis/conf.d/05-node_id wants to set a variable to the
output of the "hostname --fqdn" command, and it looks like in your case
that command is not returning a fully qualified name.

You should inspect your network configuration and hostname setting to
find out why you are not getting a fully qualified name back. I suggest
to look in /etc/hosts.

As this is a local configuration problem, I'll mark this bug as
"incomplete". If new information suggests that this is instead a
software defect, then please clarify with a comment and set the bug back
to the "new" state.

Thanks
