[Bug 1455097] Re: pm-suspend.log and pm-powersave.log not updated since upgrade to vivid
On the other side I removed pm-utils from the system and there are a couple of remaining scripts in /etc/pm/sleep.d that are worth mentioning: * 10_grub-common * 10_unattended-upgrades-hibernate Thus, those packages are also affected by this bug I guess. ** Also affects: unattended-upgrades (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: grub2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - pm-suspend.log and pm-powersave.log not updated since upgrade to vivid + pm-suspend no longer run since upgrade to vivid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to pm-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1455097 Title: pm-suspend no longer run since upgrade to vivid To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1455097/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Public bug reported: I added a new script in /etc/pm/sleep.d/ that worked fine before the upgrade to vivid. [Bug 251377] Re: Problems with amavisd-new: cannot start the service
Norway2, I just build a new karmic server from scratch and amavis service doesn't start by default unless the hostname is a FQDN. But an error is displayed on the console when this is the case (e.g. hostname being karmic): Starting amavisd: head: cannot open `/etc/mailname' for reading: No such file or directory The value of variable $myhostname is karmic, but should have been a fully qualified domain name; perhaps uname(3) did not provide such. You must explicitly assign a FQDN of this host to variable $myhostname in /etc/amavis/conf.d/05-node_id, or fix what uname(3) provides as a host's network name! (failed). Either having /etc/mailname or defining a FQDN for the host is mandatory and service amavis states so quite clearly, IMHO. Could have happened that you missed this message above? Yesterday I upgraded my desktop box to jaunty, and now I'm getting this error when trying to connect to a remote server through ssh with password authentication: Received disconnect from {ip address}: 2: Too many authentication failures for {username} lost connection That meaning that I have a lot of different keys in ~/.ssh and openssh client in jaunty is trying all of them instead of previous defaults (id_rsa, id_dsa and identity). Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openssh-client I have several keys in my ~/.ssh directory. After yesterday's upgrade to jaunty I just found that openssh-client is trying all my keys instead of the default ones (id_rsa, id_dsa identity). I just reproduced the problem like this: 1. Make sure that there's no key in ~/.ssh and no ~/.ssh/config either 2. Make a new key named ~/.ssh/foobar without a passphrase: ssh-keygen -t rsa -f ~/.ssh/foobar -N 3. Run: ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/foobar remote-host (asks for a password) 4. Run: ssh remote-host (doesn't ask for a password) Step 4 should ask for a password since foobar is not any of the default key filenames and my ~/.ssh/config doesn't use it either (you can try with other key filenames and get the same, wrong behaviour). ** Affects: openssh (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- jaunty openssh-client tries all keys available in ~/.ssh https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/373619 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
