[Bug 876387] Re: fuser forking uncontrollably in cron job
Also happening here. - Ubuntu 12.04.1 64-bit - PHP 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4 with Suhosin-Patch (cli) - psmisc Installed: 22.15-2ubuntu1.1 Unsure how to list versions of other PHP packages, but happy provide more information if needed. As a temporary fix, I have removed the fuser part of the cron job as per the suggestion here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=11370262&postcount=2 But this feels like a bandaid solution - I'd like to get this sorted out properly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876387 Title: fuser forking uncontrollably in cron job To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/876387/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1068365] Re: openvswitch gre tunnels not working in quantal
> The dkms package was disabled as its not compatible with the 3.5 kernel; this decision was taken under the assumption that the upstream kernel module was feature comparable with the dkms provided kernel module. That's right, the Open vSwitch FAQ says: Q: What features are not available in the Open vSwitch kernel datapath that ships as part of the upstream Linux kernel? A: The kernel module in upstream Linux 3.3 and later does not include the following features: - Bridge compatibility, that is, support for the ovs-brcompatd daemon that (if you enable it) lets "brctl" and other Linux bridge tools transparently work with Open vSwitch instead. We do not expect bridge compatibility to ever be available in upstream Linux. If you need bridge compatibility, use the kernel module from the Open vSwitch distribution instead of the upstream Linux kernel module. - Tunnel virtual ports, that is, interfaces with type "gre", "ipsec_gre", "capwap". It is possible to create tunnels in Linux and attach them to Open vSwitch as system devices. However, they cannot be dynamically created through the OVSDB protocol or set the tunnel ids as a flow action. Work is in progress in adding these features to the upstream Linux version of the Open vSwitch kernel module. For now, if you need these features, use the kernel module from the Open vSwitch distribution instead of the upstream Linux kernel module. - Patch virtual ports, that is, interfaces with type "patch". You can use Linux "veth" devices as a substitute. We don't have any plans to add patch ports upstream. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openvswitch in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1068365 Title: openvswitch gre tunnels not working in quantal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1068365/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Blueprint servercloud-r-cloudtesting] Cloud Image Testing and Automation

[Bug 928990] Re: fsck / dirty filesystem on instance is death
for this bug, later in the cycle we'll be publishing a "rescue" EBS volume for booting from. All the other options would include a dramatic change of behavior that would not be desireable for users -- like a "rescue SSH console" or some other nonsense. The path forward will be: - Canonical will publish a "rescue volume" which is a cloud image with a label of "RESCUE_VOL". - Cloud-Init on boot will recognize this rescue volume and swtich over to the rescue volume (Cloud init launches before the general mount) - Users will then rescue their system the same way The rescue volumes should land sometime this cycle. ** Changed in: cloud-init (Ubuntu Quantal) Status: Triaged => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to cloud-init in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/928990 Title: fsck / dirty filesystem on instance is death To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloud-init/+bug/928990/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1016695] Re: add console=tty1 to cloud-image kernel boot parameters
Re comment #9 Scott, I have no intention of changing anything until a through test is done for the _exact_ concerns that your raising. > The change does seem reasonable, but I just want to avoid making arbitrary > changes that we do not completely understand. My comment about the change being "innocent enough" is misleading, since it implies that that I think there would be no reprocussions. > I'm also concerned about arm arch, where ttyX might not be meaningful. It seems likely that the kernel has sane behavior, but I'd like to know for sure. For ARM, tty1 would mean no console output. [Bug 1013804] Re: package openvswitch-pki 1.4.0-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
This message is very odd, because it implies that "configure" was not run correctly, to use /var instead of /usr/local/var: /usr/local/bin/ovs-pki: /usr/local/var/lib/openvswitch/pki already exists and --force not specified That is in fact probably the reason for the problem, because the postinst for openvswitch-pki only runs "ovs-pki init" if /var/lib/openvswitch/pki does not exist, but if "ovs-pki init" is creating files somewhere else then this check will not help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openvswitch in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1013804 Title: package openvswitch-pki 1.4.0-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openvswitch/+bug/1013804/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
