[Bug 1477198] Re: Stop doesn't work on 14.04 (start-stop-daemon --pid not supported)

2016-01-19 Thread Florian Haas
It appears that this issue is still present in the haproxy package
currently available in trusty-backports
(1.5.4-1ubuntu2.1~ubuntu14.04.1), so anyone using that package would
still be affected by this issue.

[Bug 1434257] Re: MAAS should set dnssec-validation to no in /etc/bind/named.conf.options

2015-09-23 Thread Florian Haas
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1384334 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1384334

Anyone able to share an update on this bug? Is manual named.conf.options
mangling still the only viable option to fix this?

[Bug 1447030] [NEW] RBD volumes created with reversed stripe_unit and stripe_count parameters

2015-04-22 Thread Florian Haas
Public bug reported:

Copied from upstream bug at
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1092208:

When creating an RBD volume with 'virsh vol-create-as', the newly
created volume gets a stripe unit of 1 byte and a stripe count of
4194304. This results in an RBD volume which is unusably slow (in my
tests, it took over 30 minutes for GRUB to load in an affected guest).

This bug has been fixed upstream for libvirt 1.2.4, but the fix has not
been backported for trusty-updates. This means this functionality is
broken and unusable in the current LTS.

[Bug 1009974] Re: nova live-migration fails silently

2012-06-10 Thread Florian Haas
@mdieder, you do realize that qemu+tcp://%s-x/system will only work in
a situation like the one I originally described? I.e. you have to have a
second IP address on that box, which is resolvable as hostname-x from
the other host. Also, that whitespace before your VIR_MIGRATE_TUNNELLED
would likely cause that option to be ignored.

[Bug 1009974] Re: nova live-migration fails silently

2012-06-09 Thread Florian Haas
For anyone else affected by this issue, please see Bug #987473.

In this case, it was apparently caused by the presence of double quotes around
the --live_migration_uri and
--live_migration_flag values. Removing the double quotes immediately made the
issue go away.

[Bug 1009974] Re: nova live-migration fails silently

Closing as invalid, as this is more of a documentation on general
config-file parsing issue, rather than one caused by nova-compute
directly.

[Bug 696832] Re: drbd will not start with given default global configuration

2011-01-03 Thread Florian Haas
AFAICT, the /etc/drbd.d/global_common.conf that ships in maverick does
not contain any (enabled) on-io-error option, thus the default of
pass_on applies.

And, please follow http://www.drbd.org/users-guide/s-first-time-up.html
(and the following pages).
