[Bug 1439988] Re: package init-system-helpers 1.22ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/lib/init/apparmor-profile-load', which is also in package upstart-bin 1.13.2-0ubuntu9
Happened to me too when I updated my vivid system after a few weeks again. I still have upstart-bin (1.13.2-0ubuntu9) from before the transition to upstart installed and tried to upgrade it. init-system-helpers has a Replaces/Breaks on the transitioned upstart package but not on the upstart-bin from before the transition. Trying to upgrade upstart-bin first doesn't work as this pulls init-system-helpers too and apt tries to upgrade init-system-helpers before upstart-bin. init-system-helpers should also get a Replaces/Breaks on the old upstart-bin package. I assume upgrades from utopic (which have upstart- bin with files) to vivid are also affected by this. ** Changed in: init-system-helpers (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to init-system-helpers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1439988 Title: package init-system-helpers 1.22ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: trying to overwrite '/lib/init/apparmor-profile-load', which is also in package upstart-bin 1.13.2-0ubuntu9 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/init-system-helpers/+bug/1439988/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Here is a patch I use to compile the open-vm-tools modules on trusty (linux 3.12). It's a mix of a patch I found on the internet [0] and some changes for uid_t - kuid_t and gid_t - kgid_t based on information I found in the linux headers. [Bug 715818] [NEW] ec2-api-tools FTBFS in natty

Build log: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/58997381/ec2-api- tools_1.3.57419-0ubuntu1_1.3.57419-0ubuntu2.diff.gz The first issue is simply fixed by exchanging the order of the JRE in (build-)dependency so that a non-virtual package is listed first. The next issue I had was that RUNENV (in debian/rules) seemed to be emtpy when generating the manpages. I'm not a expert in Makefiles but removing the $( and ) seems to work better. The irssi rebuild on i386 was caught in CHROOTWAIT and was given-back one hour ago. It should hit the archive soon. The perl packages you mentioned are in hardy: libperl5.8 (not libperl5.0) is a real package and perlapi-5.8.8 is a virtual one provided by perl-base. -- [intrepid] Rebuild with perl 5.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openldap2.3 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
