Similar thing -- prompted for changes in smb.conf.  The side-by-side
display of changes was useless since it doesn't use a monospace font.
When I chose the 3-way merge, the thing borked.  The same text in my
upgrade terminal window.

This is during the "Installing the upgrades" portion.  The progress bar
shows pretty close to 100%.  Just below it is the text "Installed
brltty-x11"

The entire window is disabled/insensitive, so I cannot copy-paste the
tex in the terminal.  But here is what I see:

As jean-Baptiste Lallement asked someone else, I'll attach a sanitized
version of my /var/log/daemon.log file.  (I say sanitized because I'm
going to grep -v all references to openvpn, which spits out too many
details for my liking into this file.)
