[Bug 397721] Re: [needs-packaging] php-fpm

2010-08-14 Thread Stas Sușcov
My PPA uses 5.3.2, which is the patched version of PHP, I should update
the package if there will be no upstream deb to backport.

Anybody knows if it's worth rebuilding the package using lucid sources?
Otherwise I'm leaving it like it is.

[Bug 397721] Re: [needs-packaging] php-fpm

2010-05-07 Thread Stas Sușcov
Huh, I got the lucid php5 package patched with fpm.

This one should be far better than dotdeb's since it has all the ubuntu
patches plus fpm.

Checkout my PPA:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~sushkov/+archive/personal/+packages

Now It can be back-ported to hardy or older versions.
Free beer! :)

[Bug 411890] Re: karmic: Compiling php fails with autoconf 2.64

2009-08-11 Thread Stas Sușcov
Hi,
imho karmic is an intermediary release so we should think about pushing php
5.3.x into it.
Also having php 5.3.x in karmic, will allow us get it more stable for the next
LTS.

More than this, php 5.2.9 is already in Debian testing, so moving up to
5.3.0 would be somehow synced with them.

[Bug 407428]

2009-08-04 Thread Stas Sușcov
Same as above after updating from Jaunty.
Shell is not important, any connections hangs on logout.

This also is true on using screen. Screen hangs after logging out from
it.

Hope it get's solved soon, my box is a home server.

Thank you.

2009-08-04 Thread Stas Sușcov
Downgrading to openssh 1:5.1p1-5ubuntu1 (Jaunty x86) solved the bug for
me, so the issue is somewhere in applied patches between
1:5.1p1-5ubuntu1 (Jaunty) and 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu1 (Karmic) builds.

2009-08-04 Thread Stas Sușcov
Hmm, actually it solved partially the bug.
Now I can logout, but CTRL+C and screen still are not working.

The problem doesn't seem to be caused by openssh-server/client packages.
I've downgraded to hardy version, and the bug persists.
There's something else that causes the bug, but it happens only on remote ssh
connections.

You can modify the rules file from:

  unprepared:
  dh_testdir
  sed -i -e 's/EXTRA_VERSION=-$(PHP5_DEBIAN_REVISION)/EXTRA_VERSION=/'
 configure.in
 rm -f configure aclocal.m4 config.sub config.guess

 rm -f configure aclocal.m4 config.sub config.guess
 rm -f main/php_config.h.in
 rm -f aclocal.m4 config.sub config.guess
 rm -f prepared-stamp

and that prevents the './configure' and 'main/php_config.in' files
from being deleted. Patching then proceeds okay. Im not sure yet if
there's any harm in keeping these files, but when I do the next patch
file I shall report the result.

These suggestion can be browsed online at github:
 http://github.com/dreamcat4/php5-fpm-ubuntu/commits/php5_5.2.6.dfsg.1-3ubuntu4.1/

You might be interested to read the log file of my build:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/29787634/buildlog_ubuntu-hardy-i386.php5_5.2.4-2ubuntu5.7_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz
Getting solved the patching problem is the easiest part.

The package won't compile with the current ./configure, so you'll need
to ./buildconf --force anyway. From that point you won't be able to
apply fpm patch to./configure.

I would say that the package should be build apart from current php5
with only security and fcgi specific patches.
The problem here is that on the official webpage, it is not documented
what exactly (from php5) fpm requires to run, I doubt it requires the
whole php to be reinstalled on the target system.

[Bug 394939] [NEW] apache2.2-common (2.2.8-1ubuntu0.9) left apache2-mpm-itk with unmet dependencies in hardy

2009-07-02 Thread Stas Sușcov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: apache2.2-common

Hi,
can you please draw back apache2.2-common (2.2.8-1ubuntu0.9) from upstream (at
least until you receive a new build from apache2-mpm-itk which solved
dependency problems), or rebuild apache2-mpm-itk to not depend on
apache2.2-common (= 2.2.8-1ubuntu0.8).

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  apache2-mpm-itk: Depends: apache2.2-common (= 2.2.8-1ubuntu0.8) but
2.2.8-1ubuntu0.9 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

loose their http service if apt-get dist-upgrade is used!
