[Bug 383710] Re: GSSAPIAuthentication enabled by default contrary to /etc/ssh/ssh_config implication

2009-06-15 Thread Titi Ala'ilima
I figured out the problem. At the bottom of the default config it has:
GSSAPIAuthentication yes
so it overrides the default value. This should be with the commented default
so that it is clear that it is being overridden.

[Bug 383710] [NEW] GSSAPIAuthentication enabled by default contrary to /etc/ssh/ssh_config implication

2009-06-04 Thread Titi Ala'ilima
Public bug reported:

I'm running a brand new Jaunty (desktop) and disabled GSSAPIAuthentication in
order to work around slow SSH logins, as discussed in other bugs and many
places on the web. However, /etc/ssh/ssh_config on install contains:
# GSSAPIAuthentication no
which to me implies that it is already disabled, but this is not the case.
Uncommenting the line does in fact change the setting, so I would suggest
either changing the actual default setting or updating this file to say yes
instead of no.

** Affects: openssh (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
