[Bug 1377130] Re: Crash at creation of bcache if caching size backing size

2014-10-07 Thread Chris J Arges
I could not easily reproduce this with a VM according to your instructions. Are
there other factors that are necessary to hit this issue?
When the machine hangs do you have any message printed to the console showing
the backtrace?

[Bug 1324174] Re: qemu should attempt to re-load kvm_intel to enable nesting at first install

2014-09-11 Thread Chris J Arges
Hello Serge, or anyone else affected,

Accepted qemu into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/2.0.0+dfsg-
2ubuntu1.4 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update
out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the
bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help
us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1366868] Re: kvm: dompmwakeup fails if domain becomes pmsuspended

When using qemu/kvm/libvirt, if one suspends the VM using actual power

[Bug 1066942] Re: cps_ plugin autodetection is broken

2014-08-28 Thread Chris J Arges
This is fixed in the trusty and utopic versions already. Therefore this patch
needs to go through the SRU process as defined here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates

The patch looks pretty good, all that's needed to do is fill out the SRU
template; and someone can sponsor that into precise.

Thanks!

[Bug 1356478] [NEW] kvm_stat not found in qemu packages

2014-08-13 Thread Chris J Arges
Public bug reported:

[Impact]
kvm_stat retrieves statistics from the kvm kernel module and it is useful to
have; however in the Ubuntu qemu packaging it isn't available.

[Test Case]
sudo apt-get install qemu-utils
sudo /usr/bin/kvm_stat

[Regression Potential]
This adds an extra utility which may require extra testing to ensure it also
works properly.

[Bug 1284718] Re: interface-attach to external network a) works and b) results in undeletable instances

2014-08-06 Thread Matthew J Black
Yes, this fix now breaks our setup. Our users have access to an
external network but to give them admin would be a huge policy
violation. This really should have been changed to use the policy.json
to limit access or open it up.
