[Bug 664917] [NEW] Some error messages are replaced with wrong error message
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: puppet Most error messages in the beginning of a puppet run are replaced with undefined method `closed?' for nil:NilClass. It should display the real error message instead of that error. This bug is fixed upstream. The upstream bug report is: http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/3101 The commit that fixes this is at: http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/puppet/repository/revisions/ae0b0bf23e418e8c6665e9dc135148b78bdbd913 I'm asking that this be fixed in Lucid because this creates a major usability problem because the user can't see the real error. Affected versions: 0.24.x is not affected. 0.25.4 is affected. 0.25.5 is not affected. ** Affects: puppet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some error messages are replaced with wrong error message https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/664917 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to puppet in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 645745] Re: Some package dependency should be moved to puppet
As outlined by Stig in comment #1, the actual code using libshadow- ruby1.8 is shipped in puppet-common. Thus puppet-common needs to depend on libshadow-ruby1.8. Then should we put the libaugeas dependency in this package? -- Some package dependency should be moved to puppet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/645745 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to puppet in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 645745] [NEW] Some package dependency should be moved to puppet
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: puppet-common Expected: libshadow-ruby1.8 should not be required by puppet-common because the puppetmaster doesn't need to modify shadow passwords. Fix: Instead the libshadow-ruby1.8 dependency should only be required by the puppet package (which is the client). Affected version: The affects puppet-common-2.6.1-0ubuntu1 and possibly other versions. Note: My understanding is that the adduser package should not be removed from the dependencys list because puppet uses it to add the puppet user if the user is missing. ** Affects: puppet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Some package dependency should be moved to puppet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/645745 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to puppet in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
