[Bug 1054996] Re: Doesn't respect ~/.byobu/backend
Again, I would like to thank you, Dustin, for this awesome software. I installed the `screen` package in `trusty` and when I launch `byobu` I get `tmux` as the backend. So all is well in `trusty`. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to byobu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1054996 Title: Doesn't respect ~/.byobu/backend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/byobu/+bug/1054996/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 653405] Re: rabbitmq-server fails to start if hostname is unresolvable or has changed since first starting
In case it's relevant here: I installed rabbitmq today (2013-02-20). - My machine's hostname is resolved also before installation, and it didn't change since the server was first installed few days ago. - in any case, i revised my /etc/hosts - it seems to be 100% ok (just in case) - i'm on Ubuntu 12.04, 64bit. - it's hosted inside VirtualBox - The log files mentioned in the files are empty (0 bytes) - erl_crash.dump is also empty. - I repeated the installation process (apt-get remove, autoremove, clean, autoclean, and then install) , to no avail. after installation i (re)tried to start the server manually: # service rabbitmq-server start Starting rabbitmq-server: FAILED - check /var/log/rabbitmq/startup_{log, _err} rabbitmq-server. # according to someone here, i ran "rabbitmqctl status", and got all funny messages: # rabbitmqctl status {error_logger,{{2013,2,20},{13,3,37}},"Too short cookie string",[]} {error_logger,{{2013,2,20},{13,3,37}},crash_report,[[{initial_call,{auth,init,['Argument__1']}},{pid,<0.19.0>},{registered_name,[]},{error_info,{exit,{"Too short cookie string",[{auth,init_cookie,0},{auth,init,1},{gen_server,init_it,6},{proc_lib,init_p_do_apply,3}]},[{gen_server,init_it,6},{proc_lib,init_p_do_apply,3}]}},{ancestors,[net_sup,kernel_sup,<0.9.0>]},{messages,[]},{links,[<0.17.0>]},{dictionary,[]},{trap_exit,true},{status,running},{heap_size,987},{stack_size,24},{reductions,827}],[]]} {error_logger,{{2013,2,20},{13,3,37}},supervisor_report,[{supervisor,{local,net_sup}},{errorContext,start_error},{reason,{"Too short cookie string",[{auth,init_cookie,0},{auth,init,1},{gen_server,init_it,6},{proc_lib,init_p_do_apply,3}]}},{offender,[{pid,undefined},{name,auth},{mfargs,{auth,start_link,[]}},{restart_type,permanent},{shutdown,2000},{child_type,worker}]}]} {error_logger,{{2013,2,20},{13,3,37}},supervisor_report,[{supervisor,{local,kernel_sup}},{errorContext,start_error},{reason,shutdown},{offender,[{pid,undefined},{name,net_sup},{mfargs,{erl_distribution,start_link,[]}},{restart_type,permanent},{shutdown,infinity},{child_type,supervisor}]}]} {error_logger,{{2013,2,20},{13,3,37}},std_info,[{application,kernel},{exited,{shutdown,{kernel,start,[normal,[]]}}},{type,permanent}]} {"Kernel pid terminated",application_controller,"{application_start_failure,kernel,{shutdown,{kernel,start,[normal,[]]}}}"} Kernel pid terminated (application_controller) ({application_start_failure,kernel,{shutdown,{kernel,start,[normal,[]]}}}) still unresolved, and no workaround found. it's probably another misreported bug, and i'm still looking for solutions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to rabbitmq-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/653405 Title: rabbitmq-server fails to start if hostname is unresolvable or has changed since first starting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rabbitmq-server/+bug/653405/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
Re: [Bug 427612] Re: does not pass pressed caps lock to client
The solution is revert this SDL patch http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=317010 or use this patch in lucid qemu http://launchpadlibrarian.net/39076020/SDL-wrong-behaviour-of-caps-lock.patch On Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 3:43 AM, Benjamin Drung wrote: > The bug is still there (lucid guest on lucid host). > > qemu-kvm 0.12.3-0ubuntu11 > libsdl1.2debian 1.2.14-4ubuntu1 > > -- > does not pass pressed caps lock to client > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/427612 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in QEMU: Invalid > Status in “libsdl1.2” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete > Status in “qemu-kvm” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed > Status in “libsdl1.2” package in Debian: Unknown > > Bug description: > Binary package hint: qemu-kvm > > I have set the keyboard layout to German NEO 2 [1] in the host and the client > (both current karmic). [Bug 356149] [NEW] Debconf questions to set passwords
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mailman Dear interested parties, It will be most valuable in my opinion that the following debconf questions will be added to the package: 1. A debconf question which sets the site password 2. A debconf question which sets the list creator password In the installation manual ( http://list.org/mailman-install/node44.html ) it is said that "It is okay not to set a list creator password, but you probably do want a site password.". Having these things done by debconf will simplify the mailman installation further and save users time.
