[Bug 217137] Re: Hardy Heron: Nautilus fails to open directory with more than 140 subfolders
There is still no fix for this problem. I'm very disappointed that 8.04 was shipped with these kind of showstoppers. Yeah, they are showstoppers. I've found SMB shares in 8.04 to be very unstable, everyone in my organisation has. Some folders won't display, X is killed while browsing shares and you can't copy files directly from a share to the inbuilt CD burning folder!! Gutsy Gibbon didn't have these problems, not for anyone working where I am. The only two things that I can put my finger on are these: 1) bad implementation of Samba (or buggy release) 2) untested, buggy and incomplete implementation of gvfs I feel it is the latter. :( -- Hardy Heron: Nautilus fails to open directory with more than 140 subfolders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217137 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 39484] Re: cups smb printing backend no longer works
If you have a look at the original bug report at the top of this page you can see how I would figure that it is related (uuuh, the same error?). Whats more, I'm not spamming this bug with my own, if you read this post please (just above mine): "No one has confirmed this bug is still on hardy, marking it as invalid, please feel free to reopen the bug report if someone can reproduce it on hardy." I added this because I'm still experiencing problems adding SMB printers and this bug was so close to the one I was going to report that I thought it would be best to add something here rather than open up a 'duplicate' report. -- cups smb printing backend no longer works https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/39484 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is a bug assignee. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 196809] Re: Domain Join doesn't work on Hardy Heron 8.04
That isn't a solution. Try and be practical. Many people use the .local suffix on their domain names. They're not going to change it just so that they can add an Ubuntu machine to their domain - or because you said so. This needs to be fixed. There needs to be a way around the problem. I understand that the problem lies more with implementation than code - but it still needs to be fixed. -- Domain Join doesn't work on Hardy Heron 8.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196809 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is a direct subscriber. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
