http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=180886 is the Debian bug of record. We (squid) need signoff from all contributors ever to add such an excemption, and I'm fairly sure thats impossible. Hi David, I'm afraid this isn't possible due to licensing issues (GPL / OpenSSL.. no exception provided.).. You are welcome to rebuild the package with this, you just may not distribute it. Hence it not being suitable for the Ubuntu Archive.
