The difference between the fail and success logs appears to be that,
after a large amount of suspend preparation,
/etc/pm/sleep.d/novatel_3g_suspend suspend suspend: success.
Mon May 20 00:58:29 CEST 2013: performing suspend
Mon May 20 00:58:40 CEST 2013: Awake.
The first two lines are always there, but the third is not in the failed
case.
Marked as affecting the kernel as it's just as likely to be an issue
there.
