Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
This doesn't reproduce on a default installation, since /var/lib/sss/pipes/nss is provided (I believe) by sssd, which is in universe and not installed by default. However, /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/nameservice includes references to /var/lib/sss. Does this need to be amended? In any case, I think this needs to be fixed in either sssd or apparmor, since ntp simply tries to use NSS, as might any other NSS consumer that would be caught by this. ** Package changed: ntp (Ubuntu) => apparmor (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to ntp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1263314 Title: ntpd & apparmor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/1263314/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
