There is no log file there for cgroup-lite (although there are plenty of other logs in the /var/log/upstart directory). I'm marking this as also affecting upstart, though I suspect it's a packaging issue in cgroup-lite somehow. The most interesting part of the apttermlog is: initctl: Unable to connect to Upstart: Failed to connect to socket /com/ubuntu/upstart: Connection refused invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/cgroup-lite not found.
