Based on the package description for nginx-extras in the control file in Trusty (http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu- branches/ubuntu/trusty/nginx/trusty/view/head:/debian/control), there is no listing for the Auth Request module. This seems to be supported by the rules file that governs building this package (http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu- branches/ubuntu/trusty/nginx/trusty/view/head:/debian/rules#L123). I confused the Debian package with the Ubuntu package, my apologies. Could this be changed into a request for Auth Request to be included in nginx-extras?
