Just a quick note to say I have encountered this same bug reported by
Heru above.
For info I have two existing 14.04 servers both configured with Samaba
shares in the same workgroup and have been working fine for quite some
time.
I added another 14.04.01 server today and configured a Samba share. As
soon as I restarted smbd and nmbd on the new server (after making the
changes to the smb.conf file), my existing Samba shares became
unavailable and like Herun reported above I could then see samba-
server- showing on my network.
If I attemtped to access the workgroup from 'Files' on my 14.04.01
desktop the window crashes / closes.
I then stopped smbd and nmbd on my new server and then the existing
servers Samba shares were then available.
Kind Regards
Stephen
