This is just the issue with likewise-winbindd not restarting properly on reboot. Zack, All authorization and authentication for domain joins are handled by AD, so, there is absolutely no way that likewise open could allow an unauthorized user to join a domain. It, in fact, just passes the request on to AD. Something else must be happening here. Perhaps likewise believes a domain join to successful, when it actually failed. Join the domain form the command line using domainjoin-cli and post the output. Also, what is the error you are seeing at login, if any? Is anything being logged to syslog?
