Later versions of FreeRADIUS have fixes.

I suggest leaving the current 2.1.0 version alone, and ugprading
instead.

[Bug 283807] Re: freeradius with openssl support doesn't compile

2009-07-25 Thread rdratlos
Persio,
I had the same liodbc bug in Ubuntu Jaunty:

>dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
>
>checking for SQLConnect in -liodbc... no
>checking for isql.h... yes
>configure: error: set --without-rlm_sql_iodbc to disable it explicitly.
>configure: error: ./configure failed for ./drivers/rlm_sql_iodbc
>configure: error: ./configure failed for src/modules/rlm_sql
>make: *** [config.status] Error 1
>dpkg-buildpackage: failure: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2

Somehow the references seem to break. After removing and reinstalling
the libiodbc2 packages configure went through without any problems and
freeradius package was built fine.

Best regards
tom

You are right it isnt a bug

As said numerious times before we cant ship freeradius with ssl support due to
the license.
That being said I am working on a version of freeradius that is ssl compatible
in my ppa.

The problems with the eap stuff is due to a missing header file.

[Bug 283807] Re: freeradius with openssl support doesn't compile

2008-11-10 Thread Persio
Juan,

I did not apply the patch directly, since the freeradius versions are different
(2.0.3 x 2.1.0). Instead, I edited the files debian/rules and debian/control,
following the tips in the patch file.
Hope this helps.

[Bug 283807] Re: freeradius with openssl support doesn't compile

2008-10-31 Thread Persio
Hi,
I managed to compile the source package in a virtual machine where I installed
Ubuntu8.10.
The error I got previously occurred in a system updated from Hardy. So it seems
that there is some kind of conflict with some package(s) left from Hardy.
I also managed to compile freeradius in the VM with openssl support, following
the directions in
http://www.linuxinsight.com/building-debian-freeradius-package-with-eap-tls-ttls-peap-support.html

Thanks,
Persio

Yes, I double-checked for all depends listed in the control file, and
also in http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/intrepid/freeradius

Build-Depends: autotools-dev, debhelper (>= 6.0.7), libgdbm-dev,
libiodbc2-dev, libkrb5-dev, libldap2-dev, libltdl3-dev,
libmysqlclient15-dev | libmysqlclient-dev, libpam0g-dev, libpcap-dev,
libperl-dev, libpq-dev, libsasl2-dev, libsnmp-dev, libtool, python-dev

Maybe there's another depend not listed?

2008-10-31 Thread Persio
Hi,
In fact, even without modification the freeradius source package doesn't
compile:

dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot

checking for SQLConnect in -liodbc... no
checking for isql.h... yes
configure: error: set --without-rlm_sql_iodbc to disable it explicitly.
configure: error: ./configure failed for ./drivers/rlm_sql_iodbc
configure: error: ./configure failed for src/modules/rlm_sql
make: *** [config.status] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: failure: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2

Maybe there's an additional dependence?
