 I'm running into the problem where stream_select() indicates bad number of
 readable descriptors as in PHP bug #42682:

 Steps to reproduce:

 - Run code as in PHP bug 42682 link
 - Output is: select : 0, r=1, w=0, e=0
 - Output should be as in PHP bug 42682

 Intrepid is OK:
