What I was trying to say was that as postfix depends on lsb-base, my parents will be getting this prompt when they run an update. It's not a user friendly question, so inexperienced user will do one of 2 things: 1: Get scared and decide the safest thing is to click Cancel 2: Just keep clicking Next until the dialog goes away If they chose 1, they can't install any new updates until they deal with this one somehow. If they choose 2, they are configuring posfix as an Internet Server which opens a port for something that they don't need. same problem appeared when I clicked on Cancel. This happened to me too. Postfix is listed as a new install in Update Manager. When I started installing the updates the configuration dialog popped up asking about General type of mail configuration. I wasn't sure why postfix was needed so I pressed cancel and the script didn't handle that. lsb-core depends on postfix so I imagine it's necessary for something.
