For what it is worth, I tested this with unity, gnome and XFCE and the bug exists with both unity and gnome. Alex, can you please do 'apport-collect 877040' on the affected system so we get more information about what software you have installed and what conffiles may have been modified? Also if you can look through /var/log/syslog and include any relevant entries that will help debug this. One more with this bug. That's really a problem. Any solution at this time ? In my case, I can connect to my NAS via ssh with a public/private key system and I can mount manually a directory from my NAS.
