realtime kernel

Hello

I want to build 2.6.25 realtime, where is the appropriate patch for
this? There are lots of references to various patches and its
confusing not to mention
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/rt/ only has 2.6.24
patches.

Hardware question

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question (maybe it
would be better on the users list) but what the hell !

Im looking to get a soundcard for a laptop (either PC Card or USB) is
there any difference in performance? Any reccommendations for a
reasonably cheap but decent card for a home studio set-up?
