It seems to be, that Ubuntu/Ubuntu Studio users prefer the LTS, so do I. For me it's reasonable that so many people use Arch Linux. I only dropped it (perhaps temporarily), regarding to the transition to systemd. FWIW, the release model is discussed in the Xubuntu mailing list.
