I am quite familiar with Drupal, so will provide my feedback where it may (hopefully) help. ;) I have a question about the status of the theme that you linked to: is this considered to be finalized? If not, do you have a mockup showing what you are shooting for design and color-wise? Trying to get a clearer image of what the site is expected to look like. One last question: does UbuntuStudio have an (official?) logo, and if so, where can I find it? Cheers! -- Jorge G. Jorge, right now the very basic aspects of the theme are in place (you can see it in action here: http://mousike.dyndns.org/ubuntustudio/). I would say that what we need to do next is get the back end and initial content of the site organized, and then we will know precisely what CSS remains to be done. I'll send out a more detailed e-mail about how I think this stuff should be implemented in Drupal (i.e. what modules to use and with what settings, content types, user roles, etc) the next time I get the chance. Just as a little background relevant to the topic of this thread, I am the creator of the theme currently being used in the Haiku project website at http://haiku-os.org. I created this for the first official alpha release of Haiku, back in late 2009. I have also created a couple of derivative themes that are currently being used by a few Haiku community websites, such as http://haiku-es.org (Haiku Iberoamérica), http://haiku-cn.org (Haiku China) and http://haiku-jp.org (Haiku Japan). You can also see most of the artwork that I created for Haiku over the years here: https://picasaweb.google.com/jorge.g.mare/MyHaikuArtwork# > I have CC'd the person who created the theme we are going with currently and > who is currently developing it. I see that the mailing list post that you refer me to has a link to an Impact theme package. I downloaded it and will try to set up a fresh Drupal 6 install to see what it looks like. > Lastly, I am CC'ing Stochastic as he has committed to being the person to > actually put the files onto the hosting site, just to keep him in the loop. > > Very glad to have you offering help :) My pleasure. Kokito and Ubuntu Studio Website Update
Kokito, I saw your comments in IRC this weekend and wanted to contact you about helping. I have CC'd the person who created the theme we are going with currently and who is currently developing it. Hopefully the two of you can work together to help further this along. You can find an email thread the current theme here: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-studio-devel/2011-March/002977.html Additionally, you can find more information about the website update at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuStudio/TaskWebRevamp Lastly, I am CC'ing Stochastic as he has committed to being the person to actually put the files onto the hosting site, just to keep him in the loop. Very glad to have you offering help :) ScottL -- Ubuntu-Studio-devel mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-devel@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-devel
