Creative EMU
I'm a bit confused about those two brand names, are they related in any way? I've seen EMU products in creative-lab's website in EMU's site, I've seen photos of their soundcard have a creative lab printed on it. There was someone in this list that said that creative soundcards have a bad latency, does that applies to EMU cards too? I'm looking to get myself an EMU 0404 USB, any comment on that card? Paul DeShaw wrote: FWIW, I have never seen any of my apps with that color scheme in Ubuntu Studio since upgrading to Gutsy. Wrong. Actually it was changing to XFCE as my default desktop that changed the theme. XFCE is now broken, thanks to some weird bug in XMMS that freezes the desktop. This last time, all the menus and tool bars disappeared as well, before I could ctrl-alt-F2 out of there and reboot. So now I use GNOME or KDE. Good thing I had all three installed. I have removed XMMS. The evil Destroyer of Desktops is no more. sniff but it worked so well, when it worked, and so many plugins... --Paul in Seattle -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
delta 44 and 1010lt at the same time?
hi all.. I know, ive been around long enough to stop asking stupid newbie questions that you have to answer 100 times a day, but here goes Just bought a delta 1010lt..and finally, I can record drums properly! but, I feel that the sound definition is not as crisp as my good ole delta 44. so.. could I leave both of them in there? (not use them at the same time, but have them both plugged in?) I know that the delta series is built to coexist together in a mac or winslow environment. (I've tried it, and yes, they are happy neighbors) but is it possible in Ubuntu? sorry, and thanks in advance, greg. _ Nous voulons TE voir conduire une Eclipse 2008! Re: Two Questions?
Ming wrote: I think it's very appropriate... ;) I'm also wondering about that and why doesn't ubuntu studio have a graphical installer bootloader (as in JAD - Jack Audio Distribution)? No graphical installer. Bootloader? Like a picture behind GRUB? Otherwise Usplash might fit this bill. Because we don't intend for Ubuntu Studio t be run as a live system. It also means it's another disk we have to maintain. We have enough work already.
