Glad I could help, I remember being stuck on this problem myself. As for
xruns, i get quite a few, about 1 a minute, it was better before 8.04 but
i've not been able to get my setup back to it's old performance. I should
probably get in the habit of not using gnome when i'm doing music, the
difference when using something like fluxbox can be quite dramatic.

And to Carla, sorry you haven't got it working yet. How far have you gotten
and what happens when you try to run jack? I'm no expert but I'm sure
someone can help you out.

Sorry. Thats *not* the appropriate response. The world doesn't use
gmail. Rules is rules and *we* would have no problem if gmail users
would flip a simple setting in gmail. A quick look through the settings
or even "Googling" it will show you.

(and I use gmail)

If you really can't control yourself and feel the need to respond please
do it off list.

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install VST in Ardour following this HOW TO
post. But I'm having
a problem, I'm not able to find the .zip called "
*vst sdk 2.3*". Can anyone show where I can get it or if any one have it,
