Stewart H Yes you can update your xbuntu rather than reinstall. Before doing this, you may view an experience factor posted by various users at ubuntuforums.org. I noted some who update, report difficulties that arise and some that say, Twas nothing but smooth sailing... Take the precautions and good luck. Of course it's feasible to do as I did overnight. But downloading even via torrent took me 8.4 hours. Again, good luck. Traverso Lucid 10.4
Hi all, running a Lucid studio 64 bits, I still having trouble with Traverso. I can open it until I choose the directory for my files then freeze. I reported this bug under the beta2. So looks like the bug still there and it's a bit of shame, because traverso is a really good piece of soft. ubuntu studio and me menu
Hi all, first time I ask a question myself here, though I've been following, and learning a lot from this mailinglist for a couple of years now. :-) I just installed the 10.04 Ubuntustudio, congratulations, so far I haven't had any problems yet. Even my scanner, that used to need firmware, manually configured in a config file, now works out of the box, for the first time ever!! I have a little problem though, it's not essential to get it working, but it would be fun. There are some new features promoted on the ubuntu site, one of them is the 'me menu' for social networking. I don't seem to find it anywhere. Can someone help me in getting it working, because I do find it an improvement. grtz, Bart http://www.bartart3d.be/ -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
Re: ubuntu studio and me menu
I think that all you need for that, is to add the indicator applet and the session applet to the panel. try it and let us know 2010/5/1 bart deruyter bart.deruy...@gmail.com Hi all, first time I ask a question myself here, though I've been following, and learning a lot from this mailinglist for a couple of years now. :-) I just installed the 10.04 Ubuntustudio, congratulations, so far I haven't had any problems yet.
