Audio Package Selection

2010-10-06 Thread C. F. Howlett
I would like to produce an audio podcast, but the workflow and
applications appear to be scattered. As I understand it...

Record audio / Sound Recorder
Improve raw audio / Audacity
Add intros, effects, sound bumpers / Audacity(?)
Format for online storage / Audacity(?)
Post file online / ???

Thank you for addressing this..

Doubt

2010-10-06 Thread Paulo AP Meireles
I have a computer HP with 2 hard drives. One of the hard drives has
Windows7. Can I install Ubuntu Studio 10.4 in the other drive without
problems?

Thanks for everything

Re: Doubt

2010-10-06 Thread Ricardo Lameiro
Yes, it will not raise any problems, provided that you install GRUB at the
MBR, It will be prompted at the end of the install. when you reboot it will
show up a menu where you choose wich OS to boot. If it doesnt show up, and
only a black screnn with a blinking cursor, press shift to show the menu.

Dont forget to backup any data you want from the drive you are installing
ubuntu on

If you don't want to have dual
boot, disconnect the WIN7 HD from your PC, then install the Ubuntu 10.4. This
way will make you safe for sure.
