[ubuntu-studio-users] Files still open in audacious in 14.04

2014-05-14 Thread Set Hallström
Hi!

I recently upgraded from 13.10 ->14.04 and all is fine and happy. But i
noticed that, in any application allowing it, when i right click a file to
show it in its folder, it still opens audacious instead of the filemanager.

could someone please tell me how to i fix this once and for all? :)

Thank you,

Ok, I went & did a fresh install of UBS 14.04, Xfce desktop, on

work OK, so far (not really tried too much of anything, yet)... so
for right now, I have one (probably kind of silly) question: When
I typed in my full name, during the install, I accidentally left
the cap lock on... & now (here within 14.04), I cannot find the
personal settings window, so that I may change it (need to know
where to go to change password, etc., too). Probably something
right under my nose that I'm overlooking.

Information appreciated, thanks!

Go to the Menu -> System -> Users and Groups.

THANKS Jimmy! (intentional cap lock :))

Thanks much for reply Mike. I did try the "live" DVD, just before I
wrote my (some what convoluted number one question, sorry about that),
& I was rather amazed that my audio system worked from the git go (I
tried Audacious). I have, thru the years, tried many different Linux
systems on live DVD... & this is the very first time (my) audio worked
from the DVD (i.e., card recognized from DVD). That seemed to be a
good sign... & I think I agree, LTS does interest me... I'll most
probably give it a try...

Henry
