Re: Audacity crashes Jack
Hi! You were right!! I didn't notice the plugins from Ardour, and couldn't do many things. I read the Tutorial and it is incredibly great! I don't think i will use Audacity with jack for a long time... for my simple use of home recording (rehersals, classes, little demos) Ardour is just perfect :-) Thanks you all! Re: Audacity crashes Jack
I made another experiment: I run Jackctrl and then audacity from a Terminal. Here ist the output (Jack crashed) $audacity JACK tmpdir identified as [/dev/shm] SSE2 detected Expression 'ValidateParameters( inputParameters, inputDeviceInfo, StreamMode_In )' failed in 'src/hostapi/oss/pa_unix_oss.c', line: 1198 -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
Re: Audacity crashes Jack
Hi all! Audacity works alone, but only when jack is not running. When it does, Jack crashes. I set Jack and Audacity at 44100 in sample rate, but Jack crashes already when Audacity starts. When i go to the preferences it says it uses the ALSA:default (using Portaudio v19). I tried to change it to Jack (alsa_pcm) but when i hit OK crashes Audacity! BTW always when i open Audacity i hear a "PLOP!" on my boxes... $ audacity JACK tmpdir identified as [/dev/shm] Das it help? Is there an alternative to Audacity in this case? Thanks!
