And you have a good point :) I wrote http without S, not as a statement,
but as in, /couldn't find an ftp/ :)

I suspect an Ubuntu Studio beta isn't the target of evil people.
Unlikely a man in the middle attacks, let alone that somebody provides a
virulent faked ISO and a faked key uploaded to the Ubuntu key server.

I only wanted to point out that this is possible. For sure this is more
likely for an Ubuntu (without "Studio") LTS, than for an Ubuntu Studio
beta.

Pretty certain the torrent-files on the website contain a few webseed,
but i can't check right now.
http://askubuntu.com/questions/313107/what-is-web-seed

Non the less, torrent is good, but it is controversial in many
countries, yes. So it is a very good idea to check the link provided by
Ralf before using them:

However, and i'm adressing all parts in this discussion, please remember
OP asks for a _ftp mirror_, not the nature of torrent technology or what
is best, better or fraglerock.

Unfortunately, i can only find and recommend the http link i provided
earlier.

Apart from what already was pointed out, that many, if not most ISPs
are shaping torrent traffic, it could happen that all seeders go
offline, before you downloaded the image. Another thing that should be
considered is, that the torrent etiquette postulates, that after you
downloaded the image, you should seed it to a minimum ratio of 1.
Nobody likes people who just download by torrent and then go offline.
People doing this are antisocial. If you download, you also must seed
and it should be more, than just a ratio of 1.

There are good reasons for torrent, but if download speed is important,
torrent is the absolutely wrong way to go.
