Actually, when there are bugs, we can patch current releases with the
bug fix (if possible) doing a SRU (stable release update).

I'll make a note of this one.

Are there any plans to update the version included in Utopic?
As stated on the ardour page linked in OP:

Don't know who created that page, tbh. I think the best way to see
versions of packages is just to google on them. All packages are in
launchpad and in the ubuntu package search.

http://launchpad.net
http://packages.ubuntu.com/

If you don't mind using the terminal, you can install the package
devscripts (tools used for packaging), and use the tool rmadison. Like
so:

rmadison ardour3

The version of ardour3 in Utopic is 3.5.380~dfsg-3.

[ubuntu-studio-users] Outdated List Of Change

2014-10-27 Thread Set Hallström
Hi all,

I just found out about this ardour issue
https://community.ardour.org/node/8457 and tired to find out what version
is installed in 14.10. But only found an (very) outdated list at
https://community.ardour.org/node/8457

I am also very curious about which versino of blender i included, mostely
because the latest included build was able to synchornise to JACK, which
the binaries shipped by blender does not include.

Is there any more up-to-date list with actual version numbers? Or should i
consider such a list as my first voluntary ubuntustudio assignment? :)

Looking forward to read you,
