On an English desktop, this works. On a Chinese-translated desktop, this doesn't work unless the user explicitly types "libre" or "libreoffice" in the search bar. Steps to reproduce: 1) Install 11.10. 2) Make Simplified Chinese the default language. 3) Boot into either unity 2d or unity. 4) Click the lens button and type "office" in either English or Chinese. Actual Results: Nothing is returned if "office" is typed into the search bar. [Ubuntu-translations-coordinators] [Bug 988258] Re: "Cartella home" label in launcher needs to be named 'Cartella Home'
Hello, as suggested in another bug, I kindly invite you to discuss these issues directly on the translators mailing list. With particular reference to this issue, it has been discussed quite a lot, and is a controversial one. It is not a real bug, there is not a real error in the translation, and has been suggested quite often to change its translation. It is not a rather easy task too, since we cannot change it directly in Ubuntu, we have to work with upstream (Gnome in particular). I'm leaving this bug open, and I will bring this discussion up again on the translators mailing list. I suggest you to subscribe to the mailing list if you want to take part into this discussion. Ciao. ** Changed in: language-pack-it (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Traduttori Italiani del software di Ubuntu (ubuntu-l10n-it) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Translations Coordinators, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Translations.
