Re: LanguagePack statistics
Thanks, but I assume that this only gathers information of people who have installed the popularity-contest package, right? I am just trying to figure out how many users use Ubuntu in Basque, so I thought that the LanguagePack statistics could give more accurate numbers, but I don't know if these are available. Regards, Oier Coordinator of Ubuntu Basque Translators Hi Oier, I think that's what you're looking for: http://people.canonical.com/~dpm/langpacks-by-inst.html The page is updated daily, from the popconstats, and if you want to keep track of the progress of your particular language over time (e.g. create your own graphs, etc.) you can also download CSV files manually or fetch them (or the data in json format) here [1]. The code to generate is very simple and available here [2]. I'd really like to spend some time improving it, but I don't think this is going to happen any time soon, any help welcome! As per the theme... well, it looked nice back when I created it for Lucid, now it just looks a bit old ;) Cheers, David. That's correct, they are only available if the user has explicitly agreed to submit anonymous stats to the popcon server. I seem to remember there used to be an option in the installer, but I think it's not there anymore. Does anyone know how the acceptance to send popcon stats is done these days? Regards, David. So, the classroom team has gone all the way and organized the Ubuntu Global Jam Bootcamp[2] to help LoCo teams plan for the upcoming Global Jams. We have sessions on bug triaging, iso testing, and translations. We also have members from 3 LoCo teams come ahead and tell us how their rock their global jams! The Ubuntu Global Jam Bootcamp runs on Monday 28th March 2011, from 1600 UTC[3] to 2200 UTC[4]. Join us in #ubuntu-classroom and #ubuntu-classroom-chat and help us rock it! Ubuntu translatable packages list order
Hi guys, I have a question regarding the order of the translatable packages that appear in https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+lang/XX where is XX is your language. I noticed that rhythmbox still appears on the first page, even if it is no more shipped by default and that other aplications that are shipped by default, such as pitivi for instance, appear on the second page. Is it a bug that rhythmbox still appears there (and even on the first page)? and how is the order of the list decided? Re: Ubuntu translatable packages list order
