New strings available for translation in gnome-control-center in Precise
Hello Translators! We have included two new strings ("20 minutes", "2 hours") for translations in gnome-control-center to fix bug 1244065. We need those changes to be SRU'ed to precise, bug we don't want to break translations for people running a stable release. To avoid that, we have uploaded a new template [2] with the changes and would ask you to step in and add those translations. Once we have them they will be included in the next lang-pack update (when is this happening?) and then we can SRU the change without breaking the updates. Thanks for the help! Ara. UIFe
Hello! I would like to request a UIFe for Checkbox: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/checkbox/+bug/959452 This feature adds the Comments feature to the new Checkbox default UI. For translators: This just adds a new button with the label "Comment" for the test screen. This feature used to be there in the previous Checkbox UI, so, it would be good to have that feature back in the new default UI, to avoid a regression. Thanks! UI Freeze exception request
Hello, We are requesting a UI Freeze exception for Checkbox: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/checkbox/+bug/957090 The reason is that the welcome tab in the application is pretty much useless, and it is confusing the users. Also, it is really bug prone, as trying to start again the test run is very difficult. We are just removing the tab, so it shouldn't affect the translations team (no new strings) Thanks, Ara. -- ubuntu-translators mailing list ubuntu-translators@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-translators

Thanks again! checkbox_0.12.8 is now in Ubuntu ready for translations! This upload will contain yet another string exception :( Really sorry, but we want Ubuntu Friendly to work as good as possible when launching. https://bugs.launchpad.net/checkbox/+bug/861844 We have received feedback from the community that one of the core questions that we ask the user, and used to calculate the rating of a system, is confusing. We have added a string that tries to clarify it. String Freeze Exception for Checkbox
Hello, This email is to ask for a string freeze exception in the next upload of Checkbox (0.12.8). On that upload, there are two bugs that will break the string freeze: 1) https://bugs.launchpad.net/checkbox/+bug/852036 Checkbox is going to be used mainly for the Ubuntu Friendly programme. As we don't have menus anymore, the software needs to be easy to discover 2) https://bugs.launchpad.net/checkbox/+bug/855328 This warning message is very important. People are going to use checkbox in Oneiric thanks to the Ubuntu Friendly programme. People could lose data, if they don't save their stuff before starting testing Thanks for your consideration! Ubuntu Friendly Tests translations
Hello, For Oneiric, we are working on a new programme called Ubuntu Friendly, that aims to validate the hardware of a system, allowing the community to test their systems and report results back. You can learn more about the programme in its wiki page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuFriendly As part of that effort, we are creating a lot of new tests that we are moving to the trunk of checkbox. We have now a lot of untranslated strings, and we would love as many people as possible to help us translating our tests: https://translations.launchpad.net/checkbox/trunk/ We have also moved our translation security schema and have put Ubuntu Translators as the translations coordinator of Checkbox, to match the current Ubuntu schema. I have also written a small blog post asking for help: http://arapulido.com/2011/07/18/translations-needed/ What other suggestion you guys have to help us getting people to translate our project? Thanks a lot in advance! Ara. -- ubuntu-translators mailing list ubuntu-translators@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-translators
