You can also add the PPA for Ubuntu Mozilla Daily Build Team at https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ppa -- Steve -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
Re: [ubuntu-uk] Thunderbird 3
A PPA on Launchpad is the best place to look for this sort of thing. A quick search finds https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ppa, containing a thunderbird-3.0 package which you should be able to install alongside TB 2. Note this is a daily build PPA, and will probably be somewhat untested, so YMMV etc. -- Josh Holland j...@joshh.co.uk (key F6067C12) http://joshh.co.uk dutchie on irc.freenode.net http://twitter.com/jshholland http://identi.ca/jshholland -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/

The only problem has been waiting for some of the addons to become compatible. I know there are ways round this but it hasn’t been to bad. -- Steve -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/

If you look at the comments on this page there’s versions for TB 3 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/2313 Hello, Steve Do you mean this? http://blog.thomas-lauria.de/archives/9-Mozilla-Lightning-1.0b1-for-Thunderbird-3-on-linux-amd64.html I'm running the 64-bit version of Karmic (9.10), but I'm a bit nervous about committing to TB3 with an unofficial build of Lightning for my calendar because I rely on it! So, I'm sticking with TB2+Lightning 0.9 Thanks for the heads up about the 64-bit version of Lightning 1, but from what I've read in the 0.9 release notes it looks like Lightning will become part of TB3: Lightning 0.9 is intended to be the last release for the Thunderbird 2 series. For the future we are planning to integrate Lightning fully into the upcoming Thunderbird 3 release Bye, Tony. -- Dr. A.J.Travis, University of Aberdeen, Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health, Greenburn Road, Bucksburn, Aberdeen AB21 9SB, Scotland, UK tel +44(0)1224 712751, fax +44(0)1224 716687, http://www.rowett.ac.uk mailto:a.tra...@abdn.ac.uk, http://bioinformatics.rri.sari.ac.uk/~ajt -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
