[ubuntu-uk] Date Time display

2012-02-27 Thread Ken Adams
I have been searching the archives, but not sure what to look for, so I
am asking here.

I have lost the Date Time display in the top toolbar and cannot find
where to bring it back. The Date Time setting does not show in the
system settings. I cannot add with a right click.

I cannot remember when I first lost the display.

I am running Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity 2d and 3d, which both have the same
problem. If I boot into Classic mode the Date Time shows properly.

A clue to the answer would be appreciated. I REALLY don't want to
re-install from the start as I have everything set as I like.

Hi,

I'm not certain if this will work, but it's worth a try.

Can you search for and run the application Time Date from the Unity
start button?

If so, and once you get it up, you should be able to select the Clock
tab and check the option Show a clock in the menu bar.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Ken,

Go to System Settings, from the icon in the top right corner.
In there, under System, there is an icon for Time Date. Click that.
Select the Clock tab.
Check that the 'Show a clock in the menu bar' option is checked.
